The location was easy to find since it was right at the end of the road, but we had to ask around to make sure which property it was we booked. Once we got the keys and found our way in, it was quiet and super cosy.The kitchen was well equipped and came with a microwave, which suited our needs perfectly since we knew it wasn’t walking distance to the nearest town so got groceries and microwave food on our way (we joined a tour group; had to be dropped off). The only thing missing is the kitchen paper, but it seemed to be the norm in UK accommodations? Also, there wasn’t a washing machine.It was the four of us, so we pulled out the sofa bed, which was quite comfortable and not squeaky. There was 1.5 bath so at least we didn’t have to cram in the morning while getting ready. The stairs up to the second floor is quite steep, so may not be the most accessible, but we found it alright.Enjoyed our stay here, and would stay again if revisiting the highlands!

I recently stayed at this property in Isle of Skye - Old Kyle Farm and had a very disappointing experience. Our booking was for four people, but the accommodations fell short in several ways.First, the barn was much smaller than expected. The website mentioned it could accommodate four people, but it was cramped and uncomfortable. There was only one King bed, and the sofa bed was not prepared at the time of check-in, adding to our inconvenience.I hope the host and the management take these issues seriously and consider the customer, valuing the money spent for their vacation. Improvements in providing basic necessities and ensuring the property is clean and ready for the number of guests booked would greatly enhance the experience for future guests.

We loved it, if I ever return to Scotland I will stay there again. Everything very charming. The only downside is that the floor on top squeaks and moves when you walk.

Beautiful spacious accomodation which I would highly recommend to anyone staying on skye. Renata (the host) couldn’t have been more helpful 😊 you can see how much care and attention to detail has gone into everything about the place. I especially loved the bath which was huge!

We initially stayed here as an "emergency solution" because we couldn't spontaneously get anything else on the Isle of Skye. What a stroke of luck! The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished, and having your own kitchen is a big advantage if you haven't made restaurant reservations for your stay in advance. There is a supermarket right on the other side of the bridge.The farm is in a quiet location with a large meadow in front of the house and a view down to the water.Our "mom" Renata took great care of us, the tips for the rest of the trip were worth their weight in gold. In the end we were able to extend it to three nights and really enjoyed our stay. Super!

Literally everything, we loved everything about our staying at Old Kyle Farm, specially Renata, the host, she been more than happy to welcome us to check in at the late night hoursto make sure we arrive safely and we got everything needed.The facility exceeded our expectations, you will have everything in the property to have the perfect staying, it was VERY clean and cosy, the kitchen is equipped with anything you would need, and the view is unbelievable, it felt like home for us and so we extended our staying because all mentioned.My wife and I stayed in Skye in several properties, and definitely Renata's Old Kyle Farm is our best recommendation to stay and explore Skye & Portree areas, i would say make sure to plan your trip to stay there its a very unique experience, if you're renting a car, you get a plenty of parking space (private and free 😀)Make sure to learn how to set up a fireplace, because at Old Kyle Farm you'll get the cosiest fire place in the living room which will level up your stay.The hosts is very experienced with the tourism industry and will answer any of your questions while you're in Scotland.Thank you Renata for making our vacation even more beautiful 🙏🏼🤍

Just home from a fantastic week in Nick and Jo’s cottage. It is very conveniently situated near the Skye Bridge so we were able to explore both Skye and also Wester Ross. The cottage is very well equipped for 4 with a kitchen/diner I would be delighted to have at home (especially the view). Most importantly it is spotlessly clean. Nick and Jo are on hand as much or as little as you want. We communicated by WhatsApp given the current situation and that worked well. We will definitely return.
