Had a terrible experience as a tourist. My relative booked this hotel, a month in advance for which they charged 90 pound (non-refundable) to "hold the booking" as they call it. On the arrival day, we went there from a very long flight journey (travel with infant), the receptionist said we have been holding the booking so it would be good to pay in full and so we did. Just after we cleared the payment, he stated that no rooms available in that hotel so they are shifting us to another accomodation (some inn which they "claim" to be their sister concern!! ). When we asked why didn't he inform us before the payment, he said hotel policies (can you believe it?).After long discussion with him we asked for a refund (as it was going nowhere) which they agreed to but stated the booking money of 90 pound can't be refunded because it was non-refundable for holding the booking. Well they DIDNOT HOLD THE BOOKING but they refuse to return the booking amount. I don't know what kind of policies UK hotels are having but to my common sense it should be us choosing the place where we want to stay since we are paying for it, not some hotel shifting us to whatever accomodation they feel like.Horrible customer experience, they didn't disclose the unavailability until we paid the money. They overbooked themselves and were NOT transparent enough to state the same.

I stayed here with my 3 children I'm 9 months pregnant the room was awful and unfit for human habitation it was filthy we were getting bitten from the moment we arrived. The resident above us was banging all night I complained and then the guy tried to eletricute us by flooding his bedroom all water was pouring through the ceiling light sockets then the resident above tried to attack me because of my complaint and me being heavily pregnant avoid this place at all costs you will be traumatised there's only one night staff on he is useless this place has not been refurbished tge furniture is old.The carpets were wet and outside of the building my 14 year old son was offered drugs crack and heroin.We were that traumatised we left through the night.Environmental health need to visit.

I booked my room to attend one wedding at London Darbar which is walking distance to this hotel. 3 min walk from ilford train station. All good food places near by. Location is very good. Our room was clean n bed was very comfy. £100 deposit required. Breakfast was average we didn’t eat at hotel. Rest everything was 10/10

Be careful when you come to this hotel, they don't help you at all, they treat you terribly, very poorly educated, knowing that a Spanish couple with problems and paying for a room in advance by transfer because the dataphone didn't work, and upon returning from our walk we didn't found on the street with a dog, the excuse is that the transfer is not valid if it is not instantaneous so they leave us out or we pay double, I do not recommend it even to my worst enemy. We (3 families) stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, despite of booking one month in advance they did not have a room for 2 adults with a child, it was very uncomfortable and none of us could sleep, at the time of booking we were told it was a 4 star hotel but actually it is totally misleading and we will not call it even 1 star hotel, smell of cigarettes in the rooms, smell of damp and broken mattresses on every single bed. We were not expecting this kind of standard from such a big hospitality group, not happy at all.

Close to all amenities with easy access to local transport options, with the under ground less than a 2 minute walk away of the hotel. There are also plenty of food options catering for all types of dietary requirements. A shopping center is also in close proximity.

If i could give no star that would be better, they do not deserve any stars, i have been put here by the council and i get harassed by the managers everyday barging into my room without my permission, they have no respect for customers they’re extremely rude except for one lady in the reception she is black (im sorry idk her name) but she is the sweetest person that works there, she talks to me reassures me all the time but the managers are disgusting, rude, can’t even speak English properly so I don’t understand a word they’re saying

Very poor customer service. Hotel Receptionist got no manners. Price is not reasonable for the area. I won’t recommend anyone to this hotel. They don’t care about the customer satisfaction. All they know how to make more money out of you.

I stayed at this hotel after I found out that my reservation for the Greater London Hotel was cancelled. I stayed in the executive suite 2 and everything went fine. I had breakfast in the Greater London Hotel which was very good. Staff at both hotels were friendly and helpful.

Good for quality/price. Excellent location, 3 minutes from the subway (new Elizabeth line).Welcoming and helpful staff.They change towels every day, clean bed. The bathroom had a shower tray, a toilet button and a rusty or very worn mirror. Phono in the room, the TV didn't work but they fixed it within 2 days.Terrible breakfast not consumed in the breakfast area but served in a bag (2 eggs, a piece of fruit, a yoghurt, a cold croissant, 2 slices of bread and butter or jam). So you couldn't choose what to eat (even though the reservation included continental breakfast). No drinks provided.

Absolutely diabolical place, with no customer service.Booked a room in October to stay in June for my wedding, and also family members had booked there.4 weeks before I'm due to stay, my room is cancelled because of "recent arrangements". The same goes for my family members. Not the first time they cancelled my parents room. The hotel cancelled their room, only for my parents to be offered a larger room at a larger price...Looking at the reviews on here it's common practice.If you're thinking about staying here, don't. Save time and energy by booking elsewhere
