An amazing house with fantastic facilities. Great location, lovely surroundings and friendly locals.The house itself is modern yet has a personality.The fact that it has the BBQ shed and hot tub sets it apart from other properties, beds were comfortable and everything was clean.I would absolutely recommend staying here.

We had a fantastic stay at The Shambles. The house was in a great location for exploring Aviemore. House was in a clean condition and all rooms were excellent. We loved using the hot tub and hobbit house.

Our 3rd stay at the Shambles and love it here. The house has everything you need, in a great location for exploring and a wonderful garden. The kids love it here. A home from home with a lot more. Erin and Nick were fabulous as always, very quick to respond to any queries and always very helpful and friendly. We always use Igloo for our Aviemore trips :)

Stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday along with grandkids. The house is very large and comfortable and well located at the edge of town. We particularly liked using the hot tub especially when it was snowing heavily. House itself was well equipped and with top quality appliances . Log burning stoves on both levels which was welcome as it was extremely cold outside. Quirky furnishings throughout the house which made it more homely. We will certainly try and return to this property as we all enjoyed it. Worth mentioning Erin for her help during the booking process and welcome when we arrived.

Amazing stay in Aviemore at The Shambles. Huge, gorgeous house just on the outskirts with two living rooms (each with a beautiful wood burning stove). Really comfy beds and wonderful cooking facilities. Couldn't recommend it more. Thanks so much!!!

The house is amazing. There is loads of room and the decor is original and quirky. But the best part id the barbecue hut, which is just perfect for a social evening regardless of the weather. We plan to go back.

The house was perfect for a family holiday. Everything you need to make the stay enjoyable was provided. The garden is both child and dog friendly. The booking/payment was seamless with any queries answered promptly. The hot tub, BBQ hut and play house we’re a great bonus.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Shambles very much and would love to visit again at some time. The house is very spacious and well equipped with everything that we needed. Thank you for the welcome pack and doggy bonus. There are a few areas such as the rear garden which need a wee bit of TLC, however, appreciate the current challenges. We loved everything that the Aviemore area had to offer. Thank you so much

Our week at The Shambles was excellent, as expected, as we had been there previously. The only thing I would mention is that the gutters require cleaning. You will see from the attached photo how blocked they were. I did clear the gutter in the photo gaining access from the upstairs terrace, as the rainwater was being forced straight onto the decking and draining down to the front door, however those gutters to which I had no access could probably require clearing. That minor problem did not detract from what was an enjoyable week.

House was in an excellent position with the Strathspey Way almost on the doorstep. Appliances were top quality and the hot tub and barbecue hut were great. Rooms are spacious. Only downside was that maintenance was a bit poor - a few lights not working, bits of the decking broken, gutters on the upstairs decking blocked with moss and dandelions. Despite this we had a wonderful week here

We had a 4 night stay at the Shambles. Wish it had been longer.The accommodation was brilliant. They had thought of everything. Not only was there a lovely welcome pack with ground coffee, jam, biscuits among other things there was also one for our dogs.It was so comfortable and we felt instantly relaxed and at home. Situated near the golf course with woodland walks it was a great setting. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Had the most amazing September weekend at The Shambles in Aviemore. The lodge has everything you need, even the little ones and dogs are taken care of!We spent most of our time during the day in the kitchen/dining room with easy access out to the enclosed back garden with hot tub and bbq hut. We made good use of both. Was gutted it wasn’t cold enough to use one of the wood burning fires in the living rooms. The lovely welcome basket with local treats in it was a beautiful touch, even our puppy was left treats! It was about a 30 minute walk into the town centre and only 5 mins in the car. The app that you are provide with is above and beyond with all the information you require prior to your arrival and for your stay plus lots of ideas of things to do while in Aviemore. Overall a great experience and wonderful accommodation, will definitely be returning!!

We had a fantastic week at The Shambles!It’s a lovely big house and we had plenty of space for all of us. Weather was amazing when we were there. Aviemore is one of our favourite holiday destinations and there’s lots to do there and nearby. Couldn’t fault Igloo- very helpful whenever we spoke with them.It was a nice thought being left the welcome gifts as well.

We had a fantastic weekend away with friends at The Shambles. It is a really good size and great for the kids - plenty of room for chilling out together and for the kids to explore. It has a lovely kitchen for cooking meals together and the garden has a hot tub and a great barbecue hut with outdoor seating. We really loved the extra thoughtful touches - especially the welcome basket with baking and colouring for the kids. Such a thoughtful idea. Nick and Erin at Igloo were fantastic from start to finish and we will definitely be booking again soon!

we had a lovely time at The Shambles, the house was lovely and very well equipped with everything that we needed. Erin & Nick kept us informed by email on the run up to our holiday and were on the end of the phone when we had any queries with regards to the Covid situation. would love to visit both Aviemore and The Shambles again and would recommend both the property and igloo to our family and friends.
