We stayed at Monty’s for one night whilst walking the South Downs Way. Ours really was a very short stop as we arrived at 6.30pm and left again the following morning at 9am. …

Montys was a dream of a home to stay in. When I first walked through the door I was instantly struck by the attention of detail to the house. The diffuser in the corridor was welcoming and soothing, the bookshelves and furniture encountered on the way up to the loft so thoughtful and fascinating. And the room! Beautifully designed, stylish and warm, and all the amenities were intentional for comfort and relaxation. The roll top bath tucked away by the window was a little oasis, and the bed is so comfy, just heavenly. It was also a room for inspiration, I loved the easel for a TV stand and all the books on artists. I could go on but wow! Though it was only one night’s stay, it was a truly memorable experience. Thank you so much Vicky! Xx

We stayed here several years ago when attending a friends wedding in the area. My husband and I still talk about how lovely and accommodating Vicky was. We’d go back and stay here in a heartbeat!

My wife is from Lewes, and we always try to stay in the town for the November the fifth celebrations. Monty's was the perfect location with access to all we wanted. The accommodation has been beautifully converted from old Lewes property and is of superb quality.

I received instructions on how to access the property by text as the owners were away; everything we needed to know was given in the text and all went smoothly.  …
