Very basic rooms with essential amenities/priced accordingly. Hairdryer hadn't been PAT tested since 2017 and did stop working. Bed was also uncomfortable. Only used for 2 nights and were ideal for what we needed it for. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Downstairs restaurant brilliant.

The pictures were when we left - when we arrived the beds were made and everything, although simple, was very clean and tidy.Very happy to stay here the night. Off a busy road but traffic can't be heard.Above a restaurant bit again the noise wasn't bad at all.We stayed in a family room (room 10 and there were 10 rooms total) which had 2 double beds and one single bed. We put up a travel cot and there was plenty of room. Large bathroom with a shower over the bath.Small hairdryer to use, wifi (although very poor), and a good TV as well as a kettle and tea/coffee.Would come here again.

The hotel was disgusting. We had booked 4 nights stay, and checked out the first morning. I called to speak to the manager to be told no manager will be available to speak to. The staff weren't nice. This hotel should not be aloud to be advertised.

For the value of the stay it was good. |Check in is from 3pm and we were waiting until around 4 to check in because of no one around and slow service. Other than that, food was good when ate there, no noise and rooms were clean and comfortable. Worth it

My son Booked this property via booking.com.for 3nights 8/9/10 Dec 2023.check in was after 3pm fine. Ran 3 times between 2pm and 3pm No Answer .arrived just after 4pm after a long drive from Wales. The place was locked up no light or any sign of life. Rang Tel No again no answer. As it was getting late and rather than drive back home to Wales and after numerous calls managed to get in a place in Thirsk at a far higher price. Complained to Booking. Com who after 5days said hotel not willing to refund even though they broke the contract by not being there to book him in.Please be aware.

This is not the hotel if you want space. The rooms smelt of cigarette smoke and the hotel chief was smoking in the dinning room when we arrived. The bath was dangerous because it was too high to step into and get out of. The beds were clean but cramped. Insufficient toiletries provided for 3 people.

Felt compelled to leave my review to give some balance to the other reviews on this site. I booked this stay at last minute and it was the only place in my budget.||Very friendly staff on arrival and check-in was prompt. …
