Access easy to follow instructions. WhatsApp very responsive & helpful (I asked if an iron and board could be put in our room).Interior stairs, landings. Reception, breakfast room & hallways dated decor but quirky. Rooms more modern and very clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely with a great variety to choose from. The one waitress did very well on her own considering there was so many for breakfast. She was very busy, kind, attentive & professional (I would suggest an additional waitress for the size of the hotel). All in all a very pleasant stay. Thank you

The Dalesgate Hotel is a rather odd but functional little hotel. There are no staff present on reception - you are sent an email with a keycode and a room number. When using the keypad, ensure you cover it with your hand entirely to bring up the numbers. The room was clean and well equipped, with towels, tea and coffee making facilities, and a smart TV. The bathroom was clean and tidy. There are adequate parking facilities at the rear of the building, off the road. It is easily accessible for food delivery and ridesharing apps, and the Roebuck Inn next door provides bar and dining facilities.Breakfast was standard continental with the option for a cooked breakfast, with a good selection, everything from a full English to light bites like scrambled eggs on toast, and even kippers if those take your fancy.Overall, if you're looking for somewhere to stay that won't break the bank and provides a good clean service, the Dalesgate Hotel is for you.

This is our 3rd time staying at Dalesgate. We have had the same room each time and are very happy with the cleanliness of the room and friendliness of the staff. The breakfast is also good. I’m coeliac but they have gluten free alternatives and it’s no hassle to ask for them.

We had a room on top floor overlooking main road. which was nice but very stuffy and ww could not leave the windows open overnight due to noise. The telly was loosing signal which we were not botthered much about. The breakfast was good. Very nice lady been serving everybody. All in all nice hotel but could do with upgrading specifically the carpets all over I believe since 1930’s :)))
