Wish i could leave 50 stars! Beautiful quiet and peaceful campsite with beautiful views of the countryside and surrounded by cows and sheep. Tanya is lovely to deal with and Mark who manages the site is an absolute legend. He's friendly, knows loads about the area and goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a great timeThere are only 2 loos and showers on site (both unisex) but with such a small site we didn't have to wait at any time. The showers are great, no button to keep pressing and adjustable temperature. There's a baby change unit, hairdryer and straighteners. Fridge outside with an honesty box for local produce, and a wonderful cookery equipment shop which also sells amazing cakesBus stop not too far away and absolutely loads to see and do in the area100% going to be returning

We rented Humblebee cottage for a week and it was absolutely delightful! Tanya, Annie and Mark made us very welcome, the home-made ginger cake waiting for us in the kitchen didn't last long :-) The cottage itself was spotless, clean and tidy, plenty of space for the four of us and WiFi on tap to help plan days out. It was an ideal base for exploring the waterfalls and wilds of the Dales and Moors, ambling round the Shambles in York, taking tea at Betty's in Harrogate and visiting the Royal Armoury museum in Leeds. Not to mention a local hidden gem of the Spruisty Bridge within a short walk. The cottage's kitchen was fully equipped, so we could make dinners and breakfast with fresh eggs from the little shop ("Cooking Fantastic") on site. We stayed long enough to need to use the washing machine, but couldn't find enough drying racks - Tanya and her lads immediately magicked one for us out of knitting wool and stools to save the day!We had a great stay in a beautiful part of the country, and wanted to thank Tanya, Annie and Mark.

Lovely quiet campsite with countryside views. Everything you could want in terms of facilities. Super friendly and even a shop selling home baked cake. Lovely 6 mile walk from the site exploring Harrogate. Loads of local buses stop at the end of the lane.

Really enjoyed our camping staff. Those running the site were helpful and friendly. So quiet and peaceful with beautiful views all round.Loved that each pitch had plenty of room and wasn't overfilled to max profits..they really do have the camping experience as priority. The facilities don't look much from first glance but they were very clean and had beautifully hot showers, hairdryers and straighteners! Fridge and freezer with some lovely looking locak produce in to buy and a great washing up area. What a great base to go exploring nearby towns . Will be back. One of our firm faves now

From the warm welcome by Annie and interactions with Mark over our stay this site stands out from the rest as being so friendly and warm without being claustrophobic. The site itself was perfect - not cramped or busy as they count people not pitches and beautifully kept. The toilet block was unisex which took a bit of getting used to compared to others but made perfect sense here. It was consistently spotless and well stocked. Easy walk to either the farm shop when open or the local supermarket shop and great transport links by bus, train or road. We used a variety to get around with no problems. We needed levelling blocks for our van which we carry with us but I’m sure could have been asked for if not. Despite living rurally we loved waking up to the cows in the morning and wildlife spotting in the fields. The simple and very sensible rules and guidelines ensured safety and comfort for all and our young (and sometimes excitable!) terrier was made very welcome. We really hope this site continues as it’s obviously been created with great care and love and that shows through in its uniqueness. We tend to keep to ourselves when we go away but people were so friendly here it was impossible not to really enjoy interacting with others. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A lovely big hard standing caravan pitch with smashing views. The staff, with special mention to Marvellous Mark, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Killinghall and Harrogate within walking distance if you are reasonably fit, otherwise regular bus service from the end of the road.
