The male receptionist absolutely reeked of body ordour, so much so it grabbed you as soon as you walked in to the building and also through the corridors.

This was an excellent location for a night in York.|Uber in and out of York was quick and fairly cheap.|Hotel was clean and comfortable. |Staff were lovely, especially Hannah, who checked us in and he collegue who gave advice on our visit in to York. (Sorry didn't get her name)|Will be back for another York visit.

We stayed two nights here during our York trip and it was fantastic. The town is in 15 min driving distance, enough parking space and a Gregg’s is in front of it if you would like to start your day with a nice cup of coffee. Staff’s are welcoming.

25 minute wait to check in because the woman disappeared, when she eventually arrived back at the desk it took forever to find our booking, she then directed us the wrong way down the corridor. Room smells damp and fusty. Will not be staying here again

Such a warm welcome as I arrived from a long Journey, Ashley was so lovely and professional even offering to carry my case to my room as I struggle with my knees.|Above and beyond springs to mind, and a lovely employee travelodge should be proud of!!! 👏

The receptionist, Ashley, was very efficient and knowledgeable about the local area, recommending pubs, places to eat and local walks. She is very friendly and chatty and nothing seems to be too much trouble. She is a credit to the team. The only downside to the stay was the lack of USB charge points and power points near the bed.

Absolutely superb stay! The room was spotless and the staff bothe evening and morning were so friendly! We had our little dog with us and she loved the view of the fields from our room and the attention from the lovely staff! Definitely recommend ☺️

My husband and I had 9 nights in the travelodge in Tadcaster.
The Staff Maria and Vicky and all the team were amazing. Nothing was to much for them. Smiles and fab welcome from all the staff that we came across.

The shower was awful, there was absolutely no pressure and it made a horrible drumming noise when in use. The actual room was as expected, clean and fresh, pay for what you get !

Strangle little place with a weird hostile vibe to it, but to be fair it’s f you can see past the weird little reception service trough a window (kind of like a 24 hour garage after 11pm) it was clean and did everything we needed 👍

Perfect place to Stay if you want to Visit York. Park and Ride only 10 Minute Drive and the Added Bonus of the Fashion village Next Door to the park and Ride. £5 for Two on Bus. 👍 Watch parking in York City as you'll be paying £20 for the Day.

Terrific for direct road access to the York and Tadcaster areas and the value for money is brilliant, especially when you consider just how close to York City you are by car. Food options very good with Greggs and a Londis shop on site. Free 24 hour cash point across the carpark as well built onto the Greggs building. Just wish car park was a bit bigger but you can park in Gregg's car park and next to the fuel station if it's mega busy. Staff nice and approachable and security is very tight here too which is reassuring. Room was clean and tidy and is of a typical, older Travelodge design. We slept well and it was a comfy room. Well insulated from the road noise as well. It was fully booked when we visited which is an overall good sign, but can't give 5 stars because this Hotel needs a refurbishment. Bearing in mind just how busy it is, how old the building is and how close it is to the amazing City of York, this really should be higher up the pecking order for an overhaul and Travelodge needs to pull their fingers out fast with this one.

As you'd expect for a Travelodge, you get what you pay for. Comfortable bed. Clean room and bathroom. Corridor due a vacuum. Staff pleasant. Hadn't booked directly with Travelodge and it took a while for them to find my booking which is disconcerting.There is a large Pakistani restaurant a short distance away on the other side of the road. It is possible to walk to it and cross the dual carriage way at the allotted point. Be very careful, despite the signs warning pedestrians crossing, none of the traffic takes any notice!
