Some places you think the reviewers are super fussy. This place is genuinely run down, dirty and has broken furniture and fittings.Add in smokers throwing cigarette butts into the stairway outside and you come out a lot less fresh than when you went in.Staff were nice but it's still 1 star due to heo bad room was.

One star because I can't put less!Hygiene non-existent, breakfast included only cereals, instant coffee, hot water, bread and jams. But the worst were the terrible conditions of the structure, dirty, carpet full of dirt, mouse traps in the corridors!Absolutely to avoid!

So what we ultimately have here is a 19th century boarding town house that’s been converted to a hotel. Rooms are about the size of a small master bedroom, with bathrooms added in. A little on the dirty side. Carpet could use a steam clean and the walls could use a touch of paint to cover the dirt and bogeys. Fortunately the bed linens were pretty clean. Others have expressed discomfort with an overactive radiator, fortunately I did not have this issue. I kept my window open during an early October night which kept the room on the cooler side, perfect for sleeping. However I couldn’t sleep much on the ancient spring mattress that felt like it was about to teeter over. My only other complaints was I kept loosing power continuously throughout the night, like a circuit was being overloaded, and the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in the halls towards the evening. The only pro I have of this place is the architecture as I have a great interest in older buildings.

It was a cheap room so I didn’t expect much. The room was full of dust, paint chipping of walls, no headboard on the bed and bathroom was very small and very little hot water. Did have a good night sleep but worst room I’ve ever stayed in.

Very disappointed, go elsewhere, it's not worth the seemingly low price.Poorly cleaned, not maintained, bordering on unsafe (exposed electrical wiring).Loud road noise and poorly cleaned bedding.I slept in my clothes and still felt dirty.
