We came to stay for 1 night, were allowed to check in early which helped. Had a few questions for the owner however he never answered the phone! Ignore the 1 star reviews, it's great for what it is. Comfy bed with a jacuzzi bath in a great location 1 min from Canterbury West. Tried to request a late checkout, were told we had to leave as the owner was going out. Slightly unprofessional. Missed out on 5 stars across the board for lack of communication. If the owner's reading this, answer the phone!!!!

This is a lovely little guesthouse that's perfect if you're spending the weekend in Canterbury. My girlfriend and I had a warm, comfortable and peaceful stay in a nice room with en suite. The bed was comfy and it was quiet and relaxing. The guesthouse is also located in the middle of town, just up from the station so it's easy to get everywhere. We'll definitely return.

Serves it's purpose very well if you only intend to have a short stay. Bed was comfortable enough, good amount of towels provided, room decoration was a bit hit or miss, coffee machine was much apreciated and the jacuzzi was a surprise to be sure but a welcomed one.

I'll be honest I was a little worried about staying here after reading some of these reviews & the outside of the building isn't particularly inviting BUT the room was actually super! The 4 poster bed was incredibly comfy, we had a tea and coffee machine and even a jacuzzi bath which I wasn't expecting to be as fun as it was. Generous amount of soft towels and toiletries also provided.Lost a star as the bathroom was quite coldWould certainly stay here again, super close to St Dunstans town center and within walking distance of loads of great places to go for dinner.

Worst bed I've ever slept on. The mattress was so hard It was like sleeping on bricks, woke up with pain all over my back. Also they claim to have free parking in when in reality you have to park on the road.

We had the family room. The owner greeted us and advised us on where to park which was very helpful. Rooms & decor were lovely. Lots of positives and the location is fabulous. A few negatives; No kettle (Do like a cup of tea in the morning). 4 People who take sugar in their tea with only 2 small sugar sachets. No wardrobe. All guests have to walk through double bedroom to access bathroom. Lovely bath but no shower. As converted house lots of noise from people walking above. I know I have listed some negatives but I would definately stay here again and recommend to others. Abbey Guesthouse, thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back.

Small guest house. Our room was spotless but rather small. Was supposed to be a double but should be in the category of small single. Jacuzzi bath facility was unecessary due to lack of space thus no room for shower cubicle. In it's favour is the fact that it is central for Canterbury city but sadly due to my above comments we will not be returning.
