Are you kidding me that this place is actually open for business ? I've walked past both front and back a few times and thought it was boarded up and had been for a least a decade. How anyone would even contemplate staying here I don't know!

Carol creates the atmosphere. Very friendly welcome received. We sat enjoying the great views. This hotel is right on the seafront. The dining room is the location that was used in the film King Of Thieves. It's sad that our seaside towns are less frequented these days.

First of all, it stunk of cigarettes when we arrived there, it looked run down and old. The toilet was broken so we had to have 2 rooms. We got it because of the beach view. It had stains all over the shower and the bed had stains on the sheets. We looked around at the ballroom and it still had banners from weddings and from when Mick Jagger went for his Mom's 90th birthday party. It was probably the worst experience I have ever had. We went up a few storeys but there was nothing there. We went for 4 days and I wanted to just go home. A waste of 5 hours driving there and we got fined money for going through London just for that rubbish! We just didn't want to stay there and we spent most of our time at the pub and at Dreamland. Horrific experience, never want to go there again

You got what you paid for at this hotel at the end of the day yeah it is a bit run down and Is in process of refurbishment but me and my partner had a good stay and beds was more than comfy after our car got locked in the car park. This hotel has some amazing views and is one hotel to look out for after its refurbed!! I would gladly go back again on my next visit to Margate. I must mention the lady manager that was on yesterday that give us our room she was brilliant, what a star she was and saved us sleeping on the beach she is one of your own!! Lovely lady.

A big thank you to the Carol who let us stay for the night. We were locked out of our car park and there was no rooms left anywhere. Only for this wonderful women took pity on us we would have had to sleep on a park bench. We look forward to seeing what the hotel will be like once refurbished.

The king size bed was if anything too big for me and my 3 wives, the jacuzzi was Devine and the view spectacular, the spa and tennis facilities were world class and andre the manager couldn't do enough. The breakfast was outstanding cooked to perfection and the sky bar at night is always busy with a bar stocked with spirits and drinks from around the world! The moorings for my yacht were in close proximity and I could ride my horse along the beach and keep it in the stables near by.All in all absolutely unbelievable!

This is the worst hotel experience in the UK. We were thankful we got a room as we had missed our last train home but OMG its a very run down dirty English hotel. This is what you expect of a 1 star in Turkey. As for the continental breakfast I have no words to discribe it. The only good thing about this hotel are the views of the coast line. This hotel needs a complete renovation from top to bottom. Sad because it is such an old building and could be very nice with some TLC

It's a really old and pretty crumbly hotel. The breakfast is very basic. The staff are lovely and polite, but that's the nicest thing about it. Oh wait, the sea view is nice but the windows are rotting and filthy.
