We came to Cornerstone after booking a very disappointing holiday in a local holiday park. We booked it in a panic as we had nowhere to stay that night and it was getting on for 8pm. …

Where to start? Despite having a sign up that requests that "if you have and complaints or issues please inform staff of these prior to leaving" it would have been nice to have seen some staff for longer than 5 minutes otherwise I would …

I booked this for a two night stay to visit friends in the area. The close proximity to the train station and town was appealing and of course it was reasonably priced. …

This place is very good for the price. Near to the station, easy access from the motorway, 20 minutes from the ferry terminal at Dover. Surrounded by decent places to eat but set back from the high street so it’s quiet. My room was small but kept very clean. Shared bathroom/wc which may put some off but it was fine with me.Martin, who is the manager, was very helpful. There was a lovely terrace on the first floor overlooking the car park and great to sit out on after a hot day.All in all great value and strategically placed for the channel crossings.

Upon arrival for our 3 days for business after our 3 hour commute, noticed it was not clean and a broken window in the bathroom when if it rains water would definitely be pouring in. …

This was honestly one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in. If Ashford had more options I would’ve left and gladly paid a different hotel for a room. …

I had an issues with travel for early morning for the Eurostar, called and asked if they has space, and thankfully had room for me, the lovely lady that i spoke to on the phone said she would wait for me at the desk til i made my way over and was very helpful and lovely to speak to!The bed was really comfortable, for the amount of rooms i have stayed it, that was the best I have slept before an early start!

My room, single en-suite had everything in it that I needed. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. On the downside the room smelt of stale cigarette smoke, as did the hallway and in the early hours of the morning someone seemed to be smoking resulting in discomfort for me.It appears to be a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was in the cafe next door.I would describe cornerstone as a functional and well located facility. However due to the cigarette smoke I will not be returning.

Good points: Bed was comfy and plenty of tea and coffee supplied. ||||Bad points: Pillows old and lumpy, no breakfast, room was not particularly clean, remote was filthy, stained pillowcase. Wine bar only a few metres away, loud music playing until gone midnight.
