A lovely old building. Very old. |Welcomed nicely enough. A real plus would have been offer of some help assistance luggage up the very small stairs ( which I realise you can rightly do nothing about). But not to be. …

I visited on a Wednesday lunch time with my husband and baby. The food was excellent, I had lasagna and my husband had the venison burger. The staff were very lovely and accommodating. The drinks are a little bit on the more expensive side but other than that we couldn't fault it. We would absolutely recommend and can't wait to come back in the future!

It's our new local and we've lucked in. Gorgeous old pub, has all the classic old Kent pubs you could want. Good selection of zero beers (Moretti and Guinness) and a menu that combines traditional pub favourites (pies, fish and chips, burgers) with some variety (korean buns, tandoori chicken). Fun atmosphere for the most part, if a little quiet on occassion. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and the service is as you'd expect. Decent kids' menu as well.

Lovely, traditional roast, and gorgeous fish menu. Busy, friendly, generous portions. Good pint of Harvey's , so I shall be resting and recovering this afternoon....Went back for anniversary lunch, and even better than first time!! Lovely, unlooked for pudding dish celebrating the event. Brilliant fish platter and huge roast.

One word - Charming! From the location, people, food, rooms…. Stumbled on this place when we were going to a local wineary, booked for one night, and had the 4 poster room! Great comfy bed, and huge room, well pointed bathroom.Had dinner in tithe bar, the clue was the place was packed on a Wednesday! Excellent menu choice and superb attentive staff. Great choice of wine and ales, ……but breakfast! My favourite meal was Fantastic and again great service thank you and unlike others served until 10.30, so if you want a superb location and experience this should be top of your list

Sorry but food was awful ,Despite menu board only saw ciabatta and chips going out. Beer had so much froth sure it was not a pint. Staff behind bar seemed untrained and struggling. Older woman dodged in and out but not seems to have helped. Then she sat in bar doing paperwork!!Hotel is tired and unappealingI lived in Kent and used pub regularly but now, not again. They say you should never go back and how true it is.Really sorry to see a once great pub in this state

This is a nice traditional pub in a great location, but there is a problem - the price, one single gin and tonic with Gordon’s gin, one orange juice and lemonade, two packets of crisps - £17.60, even in the time of rapid inflation this is beyond outrageous. Other than the prices a good pub.

Booked for one night to go and see the nearby Bedgebury Chistmas lights and had a fantastic time. Arrived early and on probably their busiest day of the year, but they still fitted us in for lunch, and evening meals which we'd forgotten to book in advance. Food was excellent and breakfast ample and lovely quality. Only booked a basic room but it was very comfortable with some nice touches. The best bit was the friendliness of the staff, we were made to feel most welcome, and we will certainly stay there again. Highly recommended.
