Very loud, impossible to sleep. Drank people leave the pub at midnight and scream at each other for another hour. By the time they finally shut up I'm fully awake and can't go to sleep. The windows are old so all the noise from outside comes in, plus the water pipes are very loud as well. You might have better luck on a bad rainy day.The receptionist is very nice and even though the hotel needs a lot of work they try to keep it clean. These two are the only positive thing about this hotel.I don't recommend this area if you just stop for a night before heading to Eurotunnel. I won't use it again, it was a complete waste of money.

Visited for a Sunday afternoon with live music, really good time. Bit of a queue for drinks, but it was heaving, top local band really attracted a crowd.

Where to begin…|This hotel is next to a derelict building inhabited by vulnerable people, we had to book in via a karaoke bar, which was closed luckily. We were both very apprehensive about the actual hotel. …

Stayed for 1 night. Staff are brilliant.couldn't do enough for you Lovely garden great band also if you stay you get 10% off your drinks. 24 hour parking at £3.60 think that's what I paid lovely location all down hill, struggling going back to hotel. Bad side. Room 5 bed was soft mattress, not good for me. Sunday night 130am people shouting outside till silly o clock. Had no sleep then at 6am bin men no quite time. Worse night sleep I know not hotels fault but it was as to many drunk people after a night of music in there Bar. Won't be staying again. This was only a 50 min from home on a let's go somewhere different for a change for a cheap night random. Also the shower in the room was bad you did get lovely towels shampoo conditioner shower gel. Don't for get a chocolate 😉. OnlybHad enough milk for 1 coffee. Staff 5 star. Hotel 3 star. Location 3 star. Don't forget earplugs as you will need them. Bed/ shower 1 star. Clean room. O TV remote doesn't work when you want to turn on and off.. It really was the outside noise that was the problem, I'm sure this won't happen all the time. 😊

Wonderful reception and had a huge, clean and very comfortable room on ground floor as not too busy midweek. Very close to everything- a short walk from the harbour, leas, beaches and town. Would definitely return- great value too.

It's not the best idea to operate a hotel directly above a bar that plays loud music until late in the night. Don't expect to get much sleep on weekend nights. For a "budget room", a small room and tiny bathroom are to be expected, but they should not be derelict. Almost everything in the bathroom was either dirty, rusty, moldy, or broken. The bed had a thin and saggy box spring mattress on a squeaky frame. My physio therapist will have some work to do.The location is good - only a few minutes walk to the town center and to the beach.
