Very comfortable, peaceful and quiet accommodation hosted by very friendly owners Jim and Bridget, great breakfast, easy access to the region. Beautifully maintained garden (with Bob’s assistance). Option of self-catering is something to consider next time too …

My husband was unexpectedly kept in overnight at the nearby Horder Hospital. After a 7pm phone call, I arrived, in the dark exhausted, to a lovely warm welcome. My room was delightful, comfortable and had everything I could need, as i hadnt eaten all day they even whisked up a delicious chese sandwich accompaniedby a slice of walnut cake.. Breakfast was again not disappointing. And in the light of day I was in awe of the beautiful arts and craft house and it's surroundings. I will again return without hesitation.

We stayed for just one night a few days ago whilst visiting family. Bridget was unable to be there, but Jim looked after us so well. The house is beautiful and the room was lovely with a commanding view over their extensive garden. Breakfast was a delight and Jim's hospitality second to none. We really hope we will be able to revisit and for longer next time. Thank you to our hosts for accommodating us, even when they had other significant demands on their time.

Bridget and Jim were the perfect hosts. They have a beautiful house in an idyllic setting tastefully decorated and cleanly presented. The food was all freshly prepared and cooked to everyone’s request. They were so thoughtful, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I can not recommend highly enough.

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home in July 2017. We were in need of a last minute accommodations, and I found Fairstowe Bed and Breakfast listed and couldn't believe that we would be so lucky to find such a beautiful B&B. Jim and Bridget were extremely helpful and accommodating, and from the very start of our stay, we felt welcome and warmly treated. The home itself is beautifully decorated, with small touches that show Bridget's clear eye for interior design. The room we stayed in was very large, accommodating a kind size bed and roll away for our son, with plenty of room to spare, and had a separate private bathroom, with both a shower and tub. The room overlooked what can only be described as a true English Garden. It was a bit cool while we were there but my son took advantage of the pool and croquet! The full breakfast was traditionally English, and delicious. It is clearly stated in their posting BUT if you do not have a car, it would be a bit challenging to get around. The local pub, The White Hart, served delicious meals in a family friendly environment. We would highly recommend this B&B and we hope to stay there the next time we go home to visit.

Fantastic little B&B. Our hosts Jim and Bridget were wonderful. As soon as we arrived Jim was out the front to welcome us and help with our luggage. We were then shown to our room which was beautiful. Everything was clean and spotless. We had time for a quick coffee before we left for the wedding, when Jim returned with fresh milk for us he did offer us coffee on the terrace, unfortunately we didn’t have time, so enjoyed it in our room instead. Nothing was too much trouble (Bridget also found me three different sized safety pins when I asked for one). Breakfast was fresh and delicious. All round brilliant stay! Would 100% recommend.

This gem of a house and its hospitable owners are tucked away in Crowborough. We were greeted by Jim at the door who welcomed us with a roaring log fire, comfortable settees, tea and toasted fruit bread. A good start. …

Having read other reviews we decided this would be a great place. Hosts were lovely and very nice area.As we were shown to room we noticed it was quite dusty on landing. Bedroom was dark and lighting poor. No bulb in bedside lamp.Bathroom tiny with dusty shower head and shower plug not draining due to blockage with hair!Couldn’t fit kettle under tap to fill so had to use glass and keep filling. Luckily we brought our own hair dryer would be good to have one in room.We walked over a mile to local pub for a meal which was lovely. Finally, breakfast was lovely and hosts too! Maybe have separate tables for guests as we had to sit with other guests around one big dining table.Just not our cup of tea, but maybe if we had the bigger room experience would have been different.
