We popped in during a short visit to Wells. We then popped in again the following day. It's a cosy place with great staff, serving various hot and cold drinks. Food is also served. We didn't sample that so can't comment.Well-behaved dogs are welcome.Accessibility is very poor. It is an old building with low ceilings and narrow doorways. There is a small ramp to the door but it was a very tight squeeze for wheelchairs. Large chairs would not fit.

Warm friendly welcome. Coffee was delivered promptly & was excellent, served with a smile and a cute little biscotti. An independent business & my colleague was very impressed by the history. Other clients were enjoying their pints... A proper pub!

Booked a table in the pub for my adult daughter’s birthday as she loves Hot Fuzz. From the initial booking to the end of the meal the staff were friendly and helpful. The food we ordered was delicious, very tasty and the fries were cooked to perfection. We all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back again.

The hotel is beautiful, although rather tired. The beds, however, were very comfortable, which is, arguably, the most important aspect and for this we were delighted with a great night's sleep.|The food, was a different story. …

We went here for breakfast on the 12th September. We had been there the night before for an evening meal in the bar which was very good. Traditional pub grub. | |However, Breakfast was not good.  …

My second visit this year. Very close to the Cathedral. Ample parking nearby, food is excellent - especially at their very reasonable price point! Staff all very pleasant and helpful. They had a large group booking at the time, but this didn't hinder the swift and efficient service at all. Great place to rest for lunch. Highly recommended.

We only had drinks thank goodness. The food looked old fashioned and standard pub fare at extortionate prices. £6.50 for a side of carrots! It was comical tbh. The beer prices were also ridiculous we were charged £11 for a Guinness! …

Had lunch dinner and breakfast as we’re staying. Room was average but very narrow trip worthy stairs for myself as disabled. No room service or mini bar or even water. Not that clean and a shower of no power ! …
