Very poor accommodation and not as advertised.Two flights of very slippery and worn stairs in a spiral need to be navigated to the room with your suitcases and the bannister is very unstable.The security key lock is very dirty.The fridge was dirty inside and a drawer with chopping board inside had a very bad smell.I felt the need to wash anything before using.During our stay the shower backed up and filled the base to overflowing, although this was reported to the host, we were left with out the use of the shower on our last two days and wading through water to get to the toilet.The poor resident in the apartment below came up to report water running through his electric light and he said this wasn't the first time this had happened.We had to use towels to try and dry it up as best we could.It has been covered up in place but not refurbished in any way that you could see.I would not class this as an eight person accomodation for adults especially as it has two bedrooms with a double bed and single bed in each room and pull out sofa in the lounge.It is on a main road with lots of shops and takeaways and within easy reach of lots of interesting locations but I personally would not recommend this accommodation and think it should be taken off the market as an air bnb.

The photos of the apartment were amazing... The apartment was tired and not quite as glamorous...The walk is about 20 minutes to bars.Expensive for what it was... No milk, water etc left for us... No little touches. On a whole disappointed.

The location is central and is walking distance from the royal mile. There are several bus routes coming and going just outside the door. There are several small grocery shops on the same street.It's walking distance from airport transfer locations.We were 8 people staying here and the flat was airy and light. We never felt like we were waling on top of one another.You could tell whatever renovations had been done had been done quickly but that's not something that bothers me personally.The dining chairs were horrendous, though. They were basically just frames with some fake (?) leather coverings. Basically no seat.The communication with the host was easy and efficient. Whatever issues arose they dealt with quickly. As well as whatever questions we had were usually answered within the hour.The price was extremely reasonable.
