Diane made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Room was very well appointed and everything was thought out. Great that a small fridge with water and milk was provided along with a small selection of cereals. …

A quaint B&B with compact rooms. We were in room 2 which had a patio where we ate our breakfast. ||The supplied breakfast was minimal.||Diane is a wealth of information about the area, including places to eat ||Tideswell is an ideal base from which to explore the Peake District

Lovely friendly, personal welcome when we rang the bell! Set the tone completely. We opted for the garden room. Now the room.. It maybe compact as you can see in the photos but with doors opening out onto the back terrace patio made it so much roomier. Plus it meant getting the sunshine in the afternoon (and seeing a local black cat walk past!). Spotlessly clean. Decor is smart and the bathroom is bang up to date.. heated towel rail as well. Heating was excellent and hot water was really hot so one could have a really relaxing bath as Diane also includes lovely smelling foaming bath 'lotion'.Breakfast cereal bars aplenty and some bananas. Tea/coffee and a kettle plus a small fridge with mini milk bottles. Post covid Diane provides cereals and Oats so simple for one to do one's own basic continental breakfast. The Blossom House is in the middle of this delightful village and as there are no yellow lines (I mean what a breath of fresh air no parking yellow lines!! for heaven's sake please keep it like that) which means you can park easily (maybe not so in the summer when the tourists arrive en masse).Diane also (on request) provided a run down of the local breakfast 'cafes' and local restaurants. Her tone changed when she mentioned the Star Pub so we opted to have dinner there. That was a great decision. If you need anything there's a writing pad on the outside of the door where you can leave messages.Thank you Diane for a lovely stay, a lovely room and your warm welcome.
