A beautiful wedding venue with accommodation on site for the bridal party to get ready. The owners are fantastic and help to ensure the day runs perfectly. Located in the Peak District so the landscape is incredible and if you get a golden sunset you're in for a treat. Definitely recommended from my side of things as a wedding photographer. Give me a shout if you want to know more about my visit there. Photos by @teamedwardsphotography on Instagram

I can't speak highly enough of Sally and James and the team at Heathy Lea. They allowed my husband and I to have the best wedding weekend of our lives. Nothing was too much to sort and they were on hand throughout the whole experience from planning to making sure guests got home safely. This wedding venue is a total gem that allows each couple to DIY and make it suit them which is so rare these days. We cannot thank you both enough, Love Maddy & James xxx

My husband and I held our wedding at Heathy Lea in July and it was the PERFECT venue - we would absolutely recommend it to anyone considering it.We had the venue and accommodation from the Friday to Monday, and the whole thing just felt so personal. By the time it came to Monday morning, nobody wanted to leave. The marquee set up and the views from the site were just gorgeous, and so many of our guests said that it was so different to any wedding they’d attend before, in the best possible way.Sally and James made sure the whole weekend ran completely smoothly. They were on hand for anything we needed, whilst also giving us the space to enjoy our weekend. The accommodation was all beautiful, my husband and I had separate areas to get ready and spend the morning with our respective friends and family members. Plenty of space for some lovely getting ready photos, with the stunning parkland views in the background! We absolutely could not recommend this more to anyone considering it, we’re already planning our next stay for our 6 month anniversary and know that both us and our family and friends will be back to visit in the future too!

We felt something special when we first visited Heathy Lea and we knew we had to get married there! You can create your own unique wedding exactly how you want it. Sally and James were so friendly and helpful and made the wedding planning process easy. They also invited us to visit when marquees were up so that we visualise what our wedding would look like. They helped out on the day and made sure everybody got into taxis safely after our wedding. We are so jealous of everybody who still has their wedding ahead of them at Heathy Lea. We will definitely be back for stays in the future!

It will always hold a special place for us and we look forward to going back again soon.

We got married at Heathy Lea in June and it was everything and more than we could have imagined. The set-up is absolutely perfect for a weekend of celebrations and all the accommodation on site is wonderful. Our wedding weekend certainly wouldn't have been what it was without Sally & James, and would recommend Heathy Lea to anyone. Heathy Lea will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will definitely be back to visit!

Heathy Lea is one of my favourite places in the Peaks! I've visited a few times personally, and now have been lucky enough to conduct a wedding there too. The location is so stunning, with amazing views all around. Somehow it manages to feel intimate and secluded without actually being ages and ages away from convenient places to visit locally. If you're hoping to have a wedding or getaway where you can truly relax, in comfortable luxury, this place would be perfect!Full marks review for the incredible Chatsworth Park location, impeccable service and warm warm welcome.

A lovely cabin, well situated for Chatsworth House and grounds , but very close to a main road and I found the traffic noise intrusive. I'd recommend one of their other locations if you want peace and quiet

Stayed here on my trip to UK, and though I stayed at some very nice places while there, The Shepherd's Huts, specifically The Oak Tree, was my favorite stay. I was worried about getting there without a car, but it was truly no problem with a train to Matlock and a bus stop about a 6 minute walk from the huts. Caretakers communicated via text, which was very convenient. To call this land idyllic is an understatement. It felt straight out of paradise. It was so peaceful, cows and herds of deer grazing, sweeping landscapes, and the sky here was mesmerizing. And it's only a 25 min walk to Chatsworth House, which is breathtaking. The actual hut was so cozy, with a very comfortable bed for reading or watching a tv with streaming. I truly didn't want to leave.I don't know when I will get back there, but I will one day. Perfect for solo and couples traveling.
