This is a lovely lodge and was perfect for our big family group of 9. We have a lovely stay and the lodge is perfectly located in the Peak District. You have a short walk into the village of Hathersage with plenty of choice for food and drink. We would definitely stay here again as everybody had there own space and there were activities to keep the whole family entertained.

We booked Sladen Lodge for a week’s special birthday celebration and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Seven en suite rooms with self catering facilities, space for everyone to sit and eat together, a sitting room and table football. Very well equipped and suited us just right. A lovely place a spend a holiday with family and friends. The Sladen Team were very accommodating. Hathersage and surrounding area is amazing.

Having stayed with a group of university friends in 2023 we so enjoyed Sladen Lodge that we rebooked for a weekend in October 2024. Everything was as we remembered and the house is in a perfect location for numerous walks in the Peak District.The house is very well equipped with every bedroom having an en-suite bathroom. All the kitchenware is of high quality and the house was impeccably clean ready for our arrival.We are already looking to book again for next year.

Second time at Sladen Lodge to celebrate family birthdays. Perfect place to hold a party for the whole family 16 in total! We all had a wonderful weekend and the bungalow is amazing. 7 double ensuite rooms, a super large lounge, wonderful dining table and a well equipped kitchen. The basics were all in place, washing up liquid, two dish washers with tablets, numerous pots and pans, tea, coffee provided, two ovens and washing machines . Lovely garden complete with another huge table and chairs. We will be back !!!! Thank you both so much! Sue Whitehouse and family

Enjoyable stay for large family group. Comfortable rooms with ensuites and plenty of space for everyone. Hosts were very responsive and easy to contact during our stay. Recommended!

Our art group run by Jo Watson have just spent a wonderful week at this fabulous house. The accommodation that’s all at one level was spotless, the bedrooms were large with comfy beds and bedding ,each with its own en-suite .There is a huge lounge with plenty of seating. Attached to that is a small room with a table football that provided hours of fun for our party. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with plentiful crockery and quality cutlery. The views were an added bonus. Well kept garden. The village of Hathersage is a five minute walk away with pubs,cafes shops ,chemist etc. Fantastic area for sightseeing and walking. We’ll definitely be back.Loved every moment

Impeccably clean and well presented rooms with lovely warm and helpful staff. Really the ideal place for families as plenty of communal space including living room and games area. But I found it ideal too for me as a single woman travelling to Sheffield for business, but wanting to find a nice retreat the nice before to prepare for my meeting, while going for short walks and enjoying Hathersage.

The location is perfect on the outskirts of hathersage. The rooms are a good size each with an en-suite. Shared kitchen and dining area. Lots of space and perfect for business meetings.Not the kind of lodge for a romantic getaway but a lovely area for walking

We have just had a wonderful family Christmas at Sladen Lodge. The Lodge was perfect for our three generations with plenty of space for the children to play and the oldies to relax. It was great all being able to sit together at the large table and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. Lynne and her team had tastefully decorated the Lodge for Christmas and even left presents for the children and alcohol, cake and mince pies for us!I would like to thank Lynne for the kindness and understanding shown to us with regard to our granddaughter who has autism enabling us to relax knowing she was safe.The Lodge is in a beautiful area and is very convenient for walking into Hathersage. Sadly, due to the weather, we were unable to do a great deal of exploring but the views from the Lodge were stunning. A fabulous place to stay.
