The Ibis Styles is right next door to the Holiday Inn Express. Both hotels have the same owner. The hotel rooms are very bright and breezy- much better than the Ibis red. The staff are great and very willing. Some tweaks are needed.  …

Stayed here for one night. The staff were so friendly. The beds are comfy, I slept like a log! Shower facilities are great too.. Felt so relaxed and refreshed. Breakfast was continental, plenty of choices. Filled myself up for a busy day ahead.

Great first stay at an Ibis hotel. Lady on reception was super polite & helpful. Got checked in very quick & easy.Room on the top floor was spotless! Bed was very comfortable & shower was great!Location is good as pub across the road & morrisons 5 min walk away.We didnt have breakfast so cant rate that.£5 for 24hr parking.Only recommendation is to have some green tea in the rooms but thats a personal preference. Decor was done to the highest standard. Will definitely be returning!

We stayed at the Ibis Styles the night before our friends wedding nearby. I love an Ibis so I had high hopes. Shout out to Ibis Budget Derby also (nestled on the junction between the A38 and A50).We arrived lated at 8:30 PM. Parked easily right outside the main entrance. As we waltzed in, I was impressed by the decor - some cool metallic type entrance and then the super cool looking reception bar. I have no idea what the lads name was at reception but he was super helpful with a pleasant and appropriate sense of humour (thank you whoever you were). After the super easy check in, we made our way through the restaurant area. This area had a range of comfy places to eat and or drink, different lighting options depending on your mood and company and USB plugs all over the place. Fast free WIFI also of course.Food in the restaurant - a selection of favourites. Noticeably a selection of Pies from 'Pieminister' (vegan option also). Our room was just right. Nothing exotic but clean and modern. NOt much to look at being on the ground floor but not a requirement for us that evening.Great value, a modern clean feel, excellent customer service and in my view a solid 4 star :)

Welcoming staff who are happy to help. The room was immaculate as you'd expect from a brand new hotel. The facilities were fantastic and the toiletries good quality. The cooked breakfast could be repetitive if there longer than a couple of days but there was a good choice of continental food.Good to see two 4 slice toasters instead of those rotating ones.Good range of drinks with breakfast. We stayed in an accessible room which was spacious and well designed but there are a couple of issues if you are in a wheelchair or unsteady on your feet. The kitchen area has shelving for storing crockery which you would not be able to reach without help and the useful tiled shelf in the bathroom is high even for anyone 5ft or under. Apart from these two points it is perfect with a comfortable bed.

Brand new hotel, reasonably priced (parking is £5.00 extra for 24 hours) approx 2 miles outside the town centre, 1.5 miles from the railway station, and next door to the Holiday Inn.It's easy to find being just off the A38 main road between Birmingham and Derby, and is convenient for nearby attractions. The rooms are very clean (as to be expected from a new hotel) nicely decorated, with some nice touches (like the iron and ironing board, safe for valuables, and box of tissues in the bathroom), and comfortable. More up market than the standard Ibis hotels, and on a par with Premier Inn, which also has a hotel nearby. There's a small restaurant come bar area next to reception, but food choice is very limited and pricey - £12.50 for breakfast (continental) and £14.75 for a pie and mash, but that's pretty standard for most places these days, although I was initially overcharged. There's a pub next door, and nearby there's a McDonald's, Toby Carvery and Miller and Carter. Big Morrisons supermarket is also close by.
