If you have time on your hands and don't mind waiting 50 minutes for your meals then find your meal is uneatable go for it. If you complain and ask for your money back after 45 minutes they tell you no you can't if the cook as started your order. If you enjoy pies that when cut run out onto the plate with very little meat and just slop and gravy then go for it.

The room was basic but clean, however it was right next to the kitchen fans which need some maintenance as they were extremely loud and screeching when started up at 7:30. The lady that dealt with us was quite rude and abrupt to us and to other people staying at the hotel. The breakfast was good.

JUST AWFUL-I refused to stay and paid extra again for another hotel losing £104. I cannot even give the accommodation a one star as I didn’t stay once I saw it. The room I was given looked nothing like anything on the site pictures. It was literally in the pub outside smoking area, between the pub and the car park (see picture) looked like a garage or shed from outside, there was no carpet and gaps/holes in the floor and an inside bolt and chain on the door. I was way too frightened to stay and the warning notice on the bedside table saying ‘ ring this number if there are any bumps in the night!’ Concerned me. By this I guess they mean guests knocking on the door or trying to get in. I was refused a refund despite not staying and explaining why. Found a great luxurious room for cheaper at Bagshaw Mews/lodge.

Delicious food, well prepared. I had a classic fish and chips. Simple sounding dish but most places don’t make it well. This was good. My friend’s food was also good. Service is very friendly and super efficient.

Food was decent however the waitress with blonde hair was extremely rude. Just placed the food on our table in silence, didn’t introduce the dishes. Bakewell itself is a beautiful town however it’s just such a shame that this particular pub is located in the middle of it all.

Lovely local pub for a couple pints when visiting Bakewell & the peak district. Mary is a saint and really helpful! If using the carpark pop in, give your number plate and buy a drink, there is a council carpark directly attached and can be confusing if paid using parking apps....
