Excellent in every aspect. We stayed in Monsal Cottage which was immaculate and very comfortable.Meticulous thought has gone into the Cottage with everything spotless and clean.Burton Manor Farm is a working Dairy Farm and is also clean and well maintained. It's a total delight to stay there and we are looking forward to making the trip down from Scotland to meet up with Kym, Chris and wee Walter again.A lovely hard working Family who made us feel very welcomed.See you again, Kym, Chris and Walter.X

I was traveling with my mum and booked this cottage last minute, Kym responded quickly and gave us all of the information how to get there and check in. Cottage is located on a working farm, surrounded by amazing views as it is on top of the hill. The views were amazing. When we arrived we were greeted by free roaming goats, also there were 2 lamas in a fenced up area. We could hear cows as well. Accommodation was very clean and cosy, kitchen very well equipped, very nice shower, beds were comfortable, dining/living room had table with chairs and 2 comfortable sofas. The cottage has very nice vibes. Small decorations made it feel very cosy. We stayed for a few days and it was perfect. Located very close to Bakewell, which is right in the middle of the Peak District, which makes easy to travel to any location from there. only 30min to Dovedale, or 30 min to get to Castleton. Kym was very helpful. Check in was very simple. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

We arrived a day before Christmas Eve 2023 for our stay at Burton Manor Farm. We booked a one bedroom cottage. I will explain why we have scored the cottage? as average because poor would be harsh, but only just. …

Nice cottage for 2. Only issues were the shower didn't work properly and only dribbled out. Also the beds were really hard. And try not to open the doors too much as there are loads of flies around - did have a fly zapper. Kitchen and lounge area was nice and cosy. Location was good and only a few minutes from Bakewell and surrounding areas by car. Overall nice stay. Did inform the cleaner upon leaving about the shower issues, luckily was only there for 2 nights otherwise would have been a major issue.

Great location for a short stay as it is about 1 mile from Bakewell. Cottages are Ok, we stayed in Larkhill Suite in the summer. Cottage was too dark for my liking, upstairs is cosy. The master bedroom has a roof window which would bring in lots of light if the owners didn't bolt the blind down as it was broken and instead of replacing it they just prevent it being used. Shower is tiny and a struggle to use. Damp in places covered by paintMy biggest bug bear of this place was the farm dogs. On the second night the kids were happily playing then got totally freaked out and upset by the dogs barking at them. The farm dogs seem to be allowed to run freely and poo wherever they want. The farm dog was seen pooing every morning, it was cleared up straight away after I called the owner but about 4 hours later if I didn't call rhem, what annoyed me is there is sign saying 'please clean up after your dogs'.Note; this cottage is on a working farm right next to the cow barn so you get the country smell and sadly 20+ flies inside daily.Overall we won't be here again.

Place is well located to Bakewell, but an awkward 5 min drive or 30 min walk to town. The place is a working farm and it stinks. I’m not just talking manure from a farm kind of stink but the smell of damp and mould, quite a lot of mould in our cottage. Ok for a few nights but not sure I could spend a week here.
