The stay was truly terrible; they don't have a real reception but you can always find the staff employed at the bar, they don't give you keys to the room but basically every time you arrive you have to go to the reception to enter the room, they don't give you clean sheets, the locker doesn't it can be closed with a padlock, in my room one of the two bathrooms was not working, the other was extremely dirty, with towels thrown on the floor and dirt everywhere.

Great location for the Philharmonic Hall and only a short walk from Lime Street station. Room was very clean and comfortable but basic (no TV or tea making facilities). Strange policy where you had to either bring your own towels or rent one for £4 - this might make sense if you're staying in a dorm room but when you're paying nearly £100 for a private room with en suite, you sort of expect these things to be included. Anyway, Liverpool is expensive these days and it was OK so I'll probably stay there again.

The staff is friendly and the hotel is well located. However, my room was damp and there were mold marks on the top of the walls, my bath towel did not dry properly. The heating doesn't work well. The floor is sticky in some places and the mirror is poorly cleaned, the same goes for the windows. The housekeeping really needs to be reviewed, I had to go through it myself. There is no towel included, you have to pay, but in fact there is not even a bath mat in any case... it is very basic. I slept well for the price I paid so I recommend coming to this hotel only if you want not to pay too much.

Good location, close to the station and the city centre. Very nice staff. Rooms are quite (but not perfectly) clean. Ground floor rooms windows faces the pavement outside which is quite dirty, so you can't really open the window, and it's not pleasant to look at. Strange water system in the shower - I couldn't find how to open hot water. Really uncomfortable to enter the room - there is no space between the door and the bed. And - most importantly - towels are not included in the room price, which is strange even for a hostel! You pay additional 4 pounds/every towel you'll need.
