Absolutely amazing place! Gutted it is closing down, I can’t understand why. We didn’t want to come home. Perfect for nature lovers and dog owners. So quirky but idyllic! The pizza oven is a great touch. Would love to go back again

What a wonderful place. We stayed in the Globe for only one night unfortunately but loved every moment of the experience. Lovely hamper, plenty of wood for the fire and the log burner. We left feeling fresh and revived. 10/10

Absolutely fantastic few days in the Basecamp at The Sleepy Explorer. Place was immaculate and really well stocked, the perfect place to get away from the real world and relax. Kids were excited from the very 1st minute to the last with the whole experience. Couldn’t have asked for any more!! Will 100% be back!!

We absolutely loved our 1 night stay! We wish we had more time to stay!Great place for nature lovers! Fireplace, comfy camping chairs, kitchen with lots of lovely food- break, eggs, milk, fresh berries and other bits provided!It had absolutely everything you could think of! Such a peaceful place!I loved outdoor shower too!It’s a must!Thank YOU, Jo!!!!

We stayed at the Globe within the Sleepy Explorer sites. Cannot recommend it enough. The value for money is insane - they provided so many beautiful treats to eat on top of the accommodation. The host was so welcoming. It’s unbelievably magical and not a surprise that it’s rated as an OMG property on Amazon.

We stayed in the refuge. Firstly it was a beautiful location, the pod was brilliant and had everything outside we needed. It was nice and comfortable to sit outside the fire every night, and also a table and chairs to eat at. You’re supplied with a hamper and fridge full of food you need which is brilliant. We saw people mention the church bells but they didn’t bother us at all. Watching the nature around us was lovely, even the cheeky squirrels checking what was in our food bin🤣 We had problems with the shower and the staff were super quick and helpful to resolve this for us which we really appreciated. We booked to stay an extra night which I’m really glad we did. There are some lovely walks right from the village you stay in which we enjoyed, with maps included in our pod. The signal was hit and miss for data, as obviously no wifi, but we didn’t mind this. It was a lovely way to unwind in a beautiful place without wifi and just relax. If you do need signal for directions etc then a short walk into the village and we managed to get signal😊 Thank you and I’m sure we will be back

The Sleepy Explorer...Well. What can I say. This is the perfect break away for anyone wanting to reconnect and experience something different. I came with my daughter for her birthday. We were greeted by the wonderful host Jo, who led us to our magical hideaway! There is everything you need for your stay, just bring your food and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper (beautiful church bells do chime). Mini log burner and oil radiator in the pod, plus a plug to charge your phone. No WiFi, but had signal so no issues using the phone if needed. Plenty of wood available for the fire and log burner. Lovely welcome hamper too! If you are contemplating staying, do not hesitate to book, this will be a stay for the memory book! I will definitely be returning for this magical experience again!

We had a great weekend at the globe in the sleepy explorer! We had the woods to ourselves- although you wouldn’t have known there were other pods there. The camp was everything you’d want with a few nice treats left for us. We loved making s’mores by the fire and looking through the ceiling of the globe when the sun rose.We would definitely recommend to our friends!

Had such an amazing stay here this weekend! Even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits.Jo and family really have created something special here and the extra touches of having a little hamper and fridge full of fresh and local produce really topped it off. The Refuge itself was so comfy and warm! Can't wait to return for another stay!The landpod was fantastic, really comfy and warm with plenty of space. All the amenities worked perfect, the shower was lovely and warm after a few moments and the log fire kept us warm all the rest of the night.

Having tried the globe which was amazing we went to refuge so comfortable didn't want leave the bed watching animals, local pheasant, squirrels, coot, ducks in pond wildlife everywhere and dusk chorus was so lovely in front of log fire pit amazing area to just chill loved it but had to leave to hustle of life outside this perfect spot 😎👌

I didn’t know quite what to expect when I booked up The Sleepy Explorer, so was very impressed with what I experienced. I stayed in The Basecamp, it was comfortable and well equipped. There was a welcome hamper awaiting me with artisan bread and eggs and milk ( in the fridge). I loved the fire pit and enjoyed very peaceful surroundings. The owl made it for me, hooting as I drifted off to sleep.Highly recommended

We’ve just had the most magical stay here amongst the trees. It’s like eco friendly camping including lots of home comforts. We had squirrels visit and heard owls and woodpeckers so close by. The little touches made all the difference and we were really cosy and warm. Great communication from the lady who runs it too. If you’re trying to decide I say you won’t regret it!

Stayed at the Globe and loved every minute of it!Took a while to get used to entering and exiting the globe itself as it does move when doing so but once you've done it a couple of times its fine.There is plenty of shelter and the chairs by the fire pit are probably some of the comforts chairs I've ever sat on!The only thing that we would do different next time we go is take ear plugs as the church bells are very loud and they go off all day! 🙈
