An absolutely beautiful cottage that I would 100% recommend.We booked to stay for the weekend whilst working at York International Tattoo Convention and it was the ideal location, we will definitely be back in future years.The cottage is idyllic, beautifully presented and well maintained! The welcome card and milk in the fridge were an added bonus that made us feel so welcome and at home!

Yew Tree Cottage is a truly exceptional holiday base: stylish, yet superbly cosy and comfortable. I stayed there recently, having selected it as a place of rest and retreat from a busy schedule. I could not have chosen better. Everything about the cottage was of the highest possible standard and the level of detail in the help and support provided by the owners was exemplary. I particularly appreciated the generous welcome hamper and supply of wood for the fire.I am familiar with the area, but guests who are not will find the cottage to be the perfect base for visiting many of Yorkshire's finest tourist attractions from the city of York (only around half an hour away by car or train from the local station in Malton) to the Howardian Hills, Castle Howard, the North York Moors and Yorkshire's spectacular coastline. Malton itself, just a few miles away, has everything required for a self-catering break.I cannot recommend Yew Tree Cottage too highly - and look forward to staying there again next year.

Luxurious and quaint, Yew Tree CottageWhat a pleasure having a holiday in beautifully restored Yew Tree Cottage. The decor is superb with comfortable furnishings, well appointed kitchen and bathrooms and everything one needs for a relaxing holiday. It is the little extras that make the difference. The welcome basket filled with delicious local produce, wine, maps and information was most appreciated. The option to have meat, bacon, eggs etc delivered to the door by the local butcher is also an experience.Yew Tree Cottage is in a small serene countryside village with a traditional pub just down the road which was great for a meal or just to have a relaxing drink. There was plenty to do. Relax in the garden, take a walk and enjoy the beautiful countryside or visit Castle Howard or the beautiful city of York with the York Minster Cathedral and of course the moors of North Yorkshire.Natasha was a wonderful host ensuring we had all we needed. Thank you. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend a stay at this gorgeous Yew Tree Cottage.

“Fabulous, cosy property just north of York and in the foothills of the North Yorkshire Moors.”My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for two nights. Every thought has gone into making this a home from home, and everything inside and out is of the highest possible standards.The property has plenty of space inside to just relax in the evenings and use as a base to explore North Yorkshire, including nearby Castle Howard, during the day.It is well equipped from a technology perspective, and the message book is full of compliments from people who have stayed there over the years.I really cannot fault this fabulous cottage!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage. Westow is the perfect base for visiting North Yorkshire with York, Malton and the coast all within easy reach. We loved the pub next door and the playground 5 minutes away and were able to cycle to nearby villages very easily on the quiet country roads.Natasha made everything very easy by ordering us daily milk deliveries, a veg box and a BBQ pack from the local butcher. The cottage was spotless and has everything you need for a week away. Her welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking some meals.Our two year old twins loved visiting some of the local farms and attractions including Beetlebank farm, Piglets Adventure Farm, and Wolds's Way Lavendar fields with its miniature railway. A day trip to Whitby on a sunny day was a great addition and very easily reached too.

What a fantastic cottage, the welcome was superb, the decor fantastic with a real homely feeling, the standard of finish throughout was excellent, the beds comfortable and the linen clean and fresh, the welcome basket was a great surprise, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to all.Booking could not have been easier with regular updates along the way, instructions for arrival were spot on.
