Lavender Cottage is a charming little place within east walking distance all that Pickering has to offer. Comfortable and clean and with a charming garden. We had a slight problem with a broken key but it was sorted within an hour. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Our 2nd stay at Lavender Cottage with our fur babies.It's in a perfect location as only a very short walk into town and a supermarket.10 minutes drive to Dalby Forest and great that there is a free parking pass in the cottage for guests. And if you fancy a drive to the coast Whitby is only 21 miles Filey is 22 miles or there is Scarborough too. 12 miles away is the beautiful town of Helmsley which we stopped off at on our way home.The Cottage has everything you will need, very warm and cosy too. Great enclosed garden for our fur babies to have a play. Even thought the cottage is on a main road it is quiet of an evening.We would highly recommend and we will be making a return.

The cottage is in an ideal location in Pickering, a very short walk to the centre, yet just far enough away to be nice and quiet at night.Inside it was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with some lovely touches to make us feel welcome.Rooms are a modest size but this is a characterful old cottage so it's what you should expect. Everything worked, shower is good, TV great, WiFi no problems.The garden was a real bonus, very private and peaceful and a perfect outdoor space for our little dog.Free parking across the road out the front was very convenient and never struggled to find a space.We had a very comfortable stay and the communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommended, we would definitely go back.

Great cottage with a warm welcome. Clean tidy, charming, lovely gas fire that replicates a log burner. Fully enclosed garden so felt dogs were safe on their own. Would love to stay again in the summer so we could make the more of the garden sitting area. Plenty of eateries within a few steps, corners shop & supermarkets all in 5minutes walk

What a charming cottage , we had a great time. The cottage has all the items you need, lovely garden, cosy lounge, hot shower and room to cook in the kitchen. The location of the property is perfect , ashort walk into Pickering and local shops. Not to mention the surrounding area has plenty to offer. It was a lovely stay and looking forward to booking another break at Lavender Cottage

We arrived home yesterday from a wonderful week staying in Lavender Cottage. The cottage is cosy, really well-appointed and the welcome package left by the owners meant we felt right at home as soon as we got there. Max was so happy with the dog biscuits!Location-wise there is so much to do with plenty of fantastic walks straight from the front door and even more places to explore within easy driving distance, or steam train if you fancy a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway! Pickering town centre is also just a few minutes walk away where there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to keep you refreshed and refuelled after all your adventures while staying in the cottage.All in all we 100% recommend a stay at Lavender Cottage, so much so we have already booked to go back there in a few months!

Great short break in this quaint and cosy cottage.Everything you need in the cottage and all amenities catered for in Pickering. Stayed with our 5 dogs which was fantastic as great accommodation is hard to find for this number. Dogs loved the quaint enclosed garden as did we in the lovely weather. Well worth a visit especially with your doggie family.

Back this morning after a great mini break at lavender cottage, exceptionally clean cottage a real home from home well equipped with every thing you may need!The cottage is very comfortable and very well thought out and has a lovely enclosed garden which our dogs, Rocco & Daisy really appreciated as well as the welcoming dog treats!Was a lovely touch to find Angela had left us a newspaper, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits!Great location with lots of places to visit , highly recommended will definitely be returning Thankyou Angela

We had a lovely stay here over the bank holiday weekend. The cottage is well placed to access the forest, beaches and York, along with other cute villages in the area. We were lucky to get around loads and even made it to a food festival in another town nearby. My dog enjoyed having a safe garden to mooch in and we took our breakfast out in the sun which luckily made an appearance. Would return for sure :)

Nicely decorated cottage. On the main road but surprisingly quiet in the evenings. Seating OK but not very comfortable kitchen equipment a bit too basic with some items required for cooking basic meals refrigerated and freezer space woefully short which could be sorted with some thought. Good pet proof garden. Downstairs bathroom has its short comings.

Recently back from our week holiday at lavender cottage and had a wonderful time,cottage was everything we could of wished for and in a great location,on arrival the cottage was clean,cosy and very atmospheric fitting in with the area with a beautiful secure enclosed garden for us and our pooch to enjoy,parking on the road outside was plentiful even in august and the town with all its restaurants/ pubs/take-always was a couple of minutes walk,all in all we had a great holiday in this beautiful area and when visiting again would not hesitate to stay at lavender cottage,in fact it will be my first choice!! We had a fantastic five night stay, a real home from home and a lovely garden to enjoy if you get the weather. Angela is a fab hostess and the cottage had everything, lovely powerful shower, and the fire in the living room was beautiful after a days walking on the moors.. Lots of little extras and a welcome tray what more could we want. Highly recommended 🌟

We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage well stocked kitchen everything you need. Very clean and warm 27th-1st Nov lovely walks and good shops in the town. Will definitely come back in the summer to make use of the lovely garden.

Lavender House is a beautiful cottage, presented with lovely touches. All you need is to hand. The garden is dog safe and very pretty, enjoyed by us and Poppy our elderly beagle.Pickering is brilliantly placed for everyone’s needs, from country walks to visiting places such as York and Whitby. Don’t forget the steam train that runs from Pickering to Whitby, amazing.All the above and much more makes Lavender house a perfect choice.
