A hotel of contrasts.For:1. Great location - 15 minutes walk from the centre of Norwich.2. Free parking.3. 10 minutes drive from fantastic parks and countryside.4. Next-door to Plantation House.Against :1. Very smelly rooms and bathroom! Maybe a serious drains problem.2. Uncomfortable beds!3. Dangerous beds! Easy to kick wooden corners.4. In our room a very noisy fridge.On balance, for us, the negatives outweighed the positives - especially the smell - so wouldn't stay there again.

I booked this hotel as it was great value, in a great location and I mainly just needed a bed. I was worried due to past reviews, but I can confirm that as basic as it was, it was comfortable, quiet and clean and I slept really well. It also felt safe as there’s lots of security cameras dotted about. The parking was free and you can easily walk into Norwich and other lovely places. There’s also the beautiful Plantation Gardens next door which you can walk around with a small donation - lovely to do in the morning, just a shame there’s no coffee places right nearby!I did bring a couple of towels as I read in a couple of reviews you only get one - I’m glad I did as I did indeed only get one which was quite small. Other than that - it was a good stay.

Great budget hotel, 2 night stay in a great location just ten minutes from city centre. Staff all friendly, lovely gentlemen on front desk. Rooms are a lovely size with kitchen net microwave bowls cups cutlery. Great size shower with a good powerful shower, completely soaps and shower gel. Had a garden room overlooking the cathedral and carpark lovely view (see pictures). Plantation gardens right next door lovely to visit if you get 5 minutes (see pictures) Overall a budget hotel at budget prices but is a little gem. Thanks again for making are 2 night stay a pleasant stay.

A good budget hotel. Clean, with a friendly reception staff. The room was a good size with an excellent sized bedroom. There is a sink and full sized fridge in the room. There is plenty of drawers and small cupboards in the room but nowhere to hang clothes. The only other minor point was that is was a warm night and the windows (top opening) didn't open too far - good for security, less good for allowing movement of air / cooling. However, this is very reasonably priced and we certainly got value for money.The location is excellent, not far from the centre of Norwich and a short walk from the Black Horse which is an excellent pub.Would I go back? Oh, yes, without question. Is it a hotel for a special occasion, probably not.

Wonderful little hotel, only downfall was windows back the carpark on the ground floor so couldn't leave windows open, otherwise was clean, comfortable and the staff were amazing. Will definitely be coming back the next time I need to stay in Norwich
