Given that you can't beat the price, this place was clean, quiet and comfortable. The hosts were absolutely the most helpful and clear in all the instructions. Simple and practicle. We would certainly use it again, and recommend to friends.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Riverbank Guest House. It was located at the end of a beautiful bridge. There were two very old churches across the river, our room overlooked both churches, the bridge and the river. There were many flowers and the lilacs were in full bloom, the fragrance was overpowering… lilacs are one of my favorite fragrances. The fee was modest and included a continental breakfast in a very nice dining room. For a small fee Victoria would make prepare a cooked, hot, full English breakfast. The outside of the building is stone and the building is older like the rest of the town: but, the interior of the building was very modern, new, clean and well maintained. We visited the ruins of the nunnery and the church across the river. The church across the river (St. Germans Parish Church) is still in use and is quite beautiful inside. The pews had intricate carvings of the seven deadly sins and at one time had a doomsday painting over the altar which has been long since painted over. We met the local priest who rang the bell for morning prayers.If you are visiting north of London, this is a very central location to see many castles and other interesting sites from. We visited the Yorkshire Dales and Pinnines from here as well as sights to the south and east. There was more to see than we had days to see them.

We had a stay here for a night when we visited Norfolk to see Tulips. All necessary details have been shared by Victoria after the booking is made. Both Victoria & Liz were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. It also had a river view. Free & stable WiFi. Continental breakfast was included in the price. Cooked breakfast costs a little extra and can be paid while buying it. Free parking either near the entrance or at their overflow parking which is only a few steps away. I will definitely revisit when needed.

I'm super impressed with this last minute find. What a beautiful location and huge clean rooms. The room we are in has lovely decor and we feel very comfortable and relaxed after a long drive. I'm so pleased and will be back for a longer stay next time.

Ok so usually we don’t go for a b&b only a travel lodge etcHowever we see this beautiful b&b and thought why not give it goWell it was amazing 😍 friendly staff , everything you need , we had a lovely room with great view , we had some where for clothes , a mini fridge , own shower , she supplied the towelsYou name it we hadThe choice in dining area for Continental breakfast was amazing she had everything in there and you can go down any time and make your own breakfastAt a small cost she will do a cooked breakfast ( we didn’t try this )So looking for some where to stay in this area then this B&B is definitely itWe will definitely be going that’s for sure( only disappointment was the pub over the bridge has been shut down 😞)We both had a perfect break and stay here , will be recommending x

Don't stop here if you are expecting a breakfast!!!! Mouldy bread nobody to cook the breakfast, rang the owner she eventually came saud breakfast within 30mins, this was now 9am for and 8.30 breakfast. …

We love this place. The buildings and the lay of the land is wonderful. I walk from the b&b down to the church ruins. Its beautiful. The wild birds, forward and flora, wonderful! The staff and owner very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast and you can help yourself to snacks and extra milk for your room etc. Dog friendly. Very relaxed and yet responsive to any needs. Local knowledge and recommendations. We love this place, as does the dog! Thank you again, for a lovely stay. See you next year! Xx

The first room which I stayed in was very comfortable with beautiful river view.The second one was old and dark.Overall, it's a good, quiet, comfortable,and affordable place if you want to spend time away from town/ city.Breakfast was delicious.Owners are pleasant and friendly.No restaurant or frequent public transport,There is only one small grocery shop in the area.If you are new and have no car, then you have to spend a lot on taxi otherwise good with personal car.

Perfect place to stop off to make our journey into Norfolk slightly shorter. Really spacious family room, kids loved the soft snuggly blankets. Breakfast was exceptional for a guest house, continental plenty of choice including waffles! And cooked breakfast was delicious too especially the sausages. Bonus was that the place is right on the river so lovely views and perfect to blow the cobwebs away before jumping back in the car to go further into Norfolk. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful building and host Victoria was lovely. A nice location next to the river and for the pub goers it's only a bridge crossing away. Comfortable bed, breakfast available and only a short drive to Kings Lynn away. I stay many places and would recommend this one to anyone

Stayed for 3 nights, lovely location very large comfortable room. Host was lovely nothing to much trouble. Would definitely stay again. Continental breakfast was more than adequate, could have a cooked option for extra cost. Thank you for a lovely stay
