We had a great stay at the Lakeview villas. Away from the crowd, the pollution, this is a very peaceful setting. We stayed at a huge four-bedroom-villa facing the lake. Every morning was such a pleasant time. The villa itself was huge. Three main bedrooms had their own bathrooms, TVs, closets, balconies. There is also a powder room on the first floor. Each area had a great working a/c. The laundry room was great. We used the washer every day and we were able to let our laundry dry on the patio as we had a rolling drying rack. The kitchen itself had a fridge, oven, stove, microwave, electric kettle, instant coffee and tea, plates, cups, knives, forks, spoons. At one point, I had to request a pot to make pasta, and it simply took a phone call for them to bring me one. Service at Lakeview was really fantastic throughout our whole stay of five days. The whole staff is kind, warm, and very responsive. We used their shuttle service to go to town and back, It is very prompt and although it takes about 40 min to get to town, it was totally worth it. You can go to Ben Thanh or the Diamond mall by using the shuttle. Call the reception in advanced and the shuttle picks you up right outside your villa. Also, it can drop you off and pick you up at the grocery store (Metro) if you need. Just make sure you arrange yourself with the reception. Our kids loved the amenities that were available: playground, pool, furs all/ping pong room, little indoor play area and also the store at the reception. If you desire to dine around, look no further than the Golf. We tried the restaurant and to our surprise, it was really good. A couple of times, we also had the food delivered to the villa. The reception will arrange picking you up at the villa and driving you back as well! We warmly thank the staff at the Lakeview for their above and beyond service. We had a great stay a the Lakeview and I definitely recommend staying there if you have small kids. It was a great place away from the crowded city center.

We played on a Monday which was a lot quieter than our Sunday round which was good. Still very hot and humid in early April so keep up the fluids. The course is very nice, fairly established with tall trees fringing the fairways which is a nice change from the links style courses. We ate in the clubhouse after our game and that was disappointing, basics like toasted sandwiches came out cold, one was sent back, and the same sandwich came back out, still cold, still with a bite out of it...! Caddies were OK, nothing special and still lack the basics in English.

Despite being billed as a 5 star resort, this falls far short of the expectations for such. For example, on arrival there were no bath towels provided until requested,no pots or pans or sharp knife in the promised kitchen, no tea or coffee, no hairdryer,no iron, not even an electric kettle until requested. Add these inadequacies to the enormous distance away from any shops or eating places and it makes for a frustrating stay. There is a shuttle to the city, and the staff tried to be very helpful within the management constraints, but I'm afraid I would not stay there again
