I spent the entire last week at the resort. Overall, I believe this place is worth a week-long visit, but probably not more than that. It’s a comfortable and peaceful spot, with enough activities to keep things engaging, but just for a week. We plan to try another resort next time. The room was spacious and situated in a tranquil area, offering a lovely view of the rice fields, so I have no regrets about the price. The food was largely delicious, with a great variety to choose from. Given the resort’s remote location, having diverse food options was essential. A few dishes were just average, but the chicken spring rolls were exceptional. My wife enjoyed the ice cream, and I was a fan of the banana smoothie. Any drink made with watermelon was also fantastic. I relished the opportunity to borrow a bike and explore the surroundings with my wife. Even a little rain was no trouble thanks to the canopy of trees.

Our family had a fantastic experience at Ecolodge from September 23 to September 25, 2022. Regarding the location, we traveled from Hanoi via a limousine arranged by Ecolodge, costing 600k per person for a round trip. The journey takes about hours. However, some parts of the road are mountainous with many twists and turns, which can make the trip tiring for older adults, especially those with a history of high blood pressure. My mother nearly fainted during the ride. :)) Nonetheless, once we arrived at Ecolodge, the atmosphere was refreshing and cool, and after a few hours of rest, my mother regained her strength. The rice season was in full swing, presenting a beautifully tranquil scenery that was breathtaking! As for the accommodations and amenities, the rooms were clean, equipped with relatively modern facilities, and decorated with a strong sense of local culture. Please note that there is no television in the rooms, and bathing requires standing or soaking in a fairly high wooden bathtub, which might pose a challenge for families with elderly members or those with mobility issues. Regarding services, Ecolodge offers electric car rides to visit the nearby villages, priced at 250k for a round trip. The local drivers are friendly and serve as tour guides. I only used the electric car service once; on the second day, I borrowed a free bicycle from Ecolodge to explore the village. Dining in the village was a delightful experience—food was delicious, affordable, and hygienic, with warm hospitality from the locals. As for dining at the hotel, I only had breakfast from the buffet. While it wasn't particularly remarkable, the food was tasty and clean, albeit with a limited selection of local dishes. The only downside during my visit was that some guests lacked consideration, bringing loud speakers into their rooms and singing karaoke, which disrupted the common area and the overall ambiance of the resort. Since this area is meant to be tranquil, those who seek excitement might find it a bit dull.

Gia đình mình đã có một kỳ nghỉ tuyệt vời tại Ecolodge từ ngày 23 đến 25 tháng 9 năm 2022. Về vị trí, gia đình mình đã đi từ Hà Nội bằng xe limousine được đặt qua Ecolodge với giá 600k/người cho cả hai chiều. Chuyến đi kéo dài khoảng 3,5 giờ. Tuy nhiên, trên đường có nhiều đoạn đèo và khúc cua, vì vậy việc đi lại có thể gây mệt mỏi cho người lớn tuổi, đặc biệt là những ai có tiền sử huyết áp. Mẹ mình đã rất mệt và gần như ngất xỉu. :)) Nhưng khi đến Ecolodge, không khí ở đây thật trong lành và mát mẻ, chỉ sau vài giờ nghỉ ngơi, mẹ mình đã lấy lại sức. Mùa lúa chín ở đây thật đẹp, phong cảnh thanh bình và yên tĩnh! Về phòng ốc và tiện nghi: Phòng ở đây sạch sẽ, trang thiết bị khá hiện đại và được trang trí mang đậm bản sắc dân tộc. Các bạn lưu ý rằng ở đây không có tivi, và khi tắm sẽ phải đứng hoặc ngâm mình trong bồn tắm gỗ khá cao. Vì vậy, những gia đình có người lớn tuổi hoặc những người khó di chuyển nên cân nhắc trước khi chọn nhé. Về dịch vụ: Ecolodge có dịch vụ xe điện để đưa đón khách tham quan các bản làng xung quanh, giá là 250k cho một chuyến khứ hồi. Người lái xe là người địa phương, rất thân thiện và kiêm luôn vai trò hướng dẫn viên du lịch. Mình chỉ đi xe điện một lần, và vào ngày thứ hai, mình đã mượn xe đạp miễn phí của Ecolodge để đi vào bản. Ở trong bản, đồ ăn rất ngon, rẻ và sạch sẽ. Người dân ở đây rất thân thiện và nhiệt tình. Còn về ăn uống tại khách sạn, mình chỉ dùng bữa sáng buffet. Mặc dù không có nhiều món đặc sắc, nhưng đồ ăn vẫn ngon và sạch sẽ. Chỉ có điều hơi ít món ăn địa phương. Điểm trừ duy nhất trong chuyến đi của mình là có một số khách không ý thức, mang loa kéo lên phòng và hát karaoke rất to, ảnh hưởng đến không gian chung và sự tôn nghiêm của khu nghỉ dưỡng. Khu này vốn dĩ yên tĩnh, nên những ai thích sự sôi động có thể sẽ cảm thấy buồn tẻ.

I went to this hotel just for one night and I wish I could have stayed more. It was one of the best places I have ever been. In the center of the rice fields far from the noise. Green trees everywhere surrounding your. There was also a spa and a swimming pool and after dinner a typical Vietnamese dance show. The rooms are very big with a fantastic bathroom and also a shower in your private garden. The hotel also provides you some bikes if you want to bike around the rice fields ( very recommended) If you are in Mai chau you should definitely go there

Fantastic place to stay. In the middle of rice field, large bungalows with private terrace and garden. You can relax at the pool or a ride a bike in the rice field, stopping in the little village to buy souvenirs. In the evening they propose you great dinner and typical dance.

My family stayed at Mai Chau Ecolodge in early July. This is a green resort with very good service. The staff is friendly, the rooms are very comfortable, spacious, imbued with local culture but no less luxurious. The on-site restaurant is great. The free breakfast is delicious and has many choices. Lunch and dinner are delicious, especially the family loves the roasted chicken at the restaurant. The chicken is roasted evenly golden brown, the skin is crispy, the meat is soft and not dry. Other dishes at the restaurant are also very delicious, good prices.

We were a family of 4 visiting the eco lodge. Quiet, clean, amazing building, polite and nice employees in addition to healthy & tasting kitchen. Our 2 night stay met all expectations despite lots of rain. Ee attended a bike sighseeing which we enjoyed

We spent 2 nights at Mai Chau Ecolodge while waiting to join our tour back in Hanoi . This was such a peaceful environment after spending 1 day in Hanoi .The staff is courteous and attentive. The accommodations are great i.e. room, swimming pool, restaurant, evening entertainment, nice grounds. The lodge provides return transport ( for an extra fee) from Hanoi to Mai Chau. The lodge also offers several tours in and around the surrounding villages. We went on a hike to see the rice paddies. I highly recommend Mai Chau Ecolodge.

When we first looked at some reviews, it appeared the Eco lodge was a bit far from the villages and meals had to be had at the lodge. Nothing like that. The lodge is in an elevated, perfect location, with a mountain backdrop and almost surrounded by rice paddies. Views from our room balcony/ verandah were simply amazing. The rice paddies and workers just a 100m or so away just going about there daily toil was interesting to watch, as were the massive mountains and jungle. There are at least 4 or 5 villages tucked away behind the tree line but they are only a 10 minute stroll or you can borrow the free bikes. The pool is fantastic as are the gardens and landscape. The staff are so friendly (like all of the Vietnamese we met), especially Xuan with her beautiful smile. We did have most meals at the lodge and they were delicious. We booked a car and guide to take us to Pa Co markets about 30 minutes away. Recommend this trip with a guide who led thru the market and village where we had a very special moment with a family who invited us into their very basic home. We cannot say enough good things about the Lodge. If you want peace and quiet amidst the mountains and rice fields, with the option of walks to the villages (with a bit of Karaoke) then this is the real experience, we could have stayed another week.

We visited the hotel on our trip through Vietnam. The place is beautiful and the food is delicious. We took part in a bike tour organized by the hotel and used the time to relax in the pool. In the evening there was a festival in the village. It was a wonderful stay.

We loved it here - nice spacious semi detached ’thatched’ bungalow with fabulous views over the rice paddies. Only a short walk into the nearby village. Restaurant pretty good and locals dancing in the evening. You will asked to join in. Just one minor issues - the shower over the beautiful wooden bath can be quite difficult to operate and the area is quite slippery. Good place to kick back and relax after the madness of Hanoi and Halong Bay.

Thatched-roof cottages perched on a hillside overlooking the mountains and rice paddies, this is my idea of the perfect place to stay. It has stone walls and tasteful wood furnishings, an enclosed back garden, and chairs on the front porch. The food is good, the staff is pleasant, and there’s a pool to cool off in. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Usually when I see the word eco lodge I get a bit nervous. But that was not needed here. The food was delicious (breakfast, lunch and diner), good cocktails at the pool. A beautiful environment and the rooms were super clean and pretty, not an insect in sigt. Would definately recommend!

Again, a 1 night stay was too short. It's such a peaceful, lovely place. A rural area, it gave us the experience of how the Vietnames live in the countryside, far from big busy cities. From our comfortable bungalow we looked out at rice fields below, mountains beyond and small villages dotted around. It is good in such places to be able to sit still and listen to all the sounds in the distance. To be able to just relax by the pool. With only 1 night here we had dinner, watched a cultural show, slept, breakfast and off we were again. We were there 2 days before Vietnamese New Year so there was this energy of excitement in Mai Chau Village. Red Vietnamese flags were every few meters and the market was full of fresh vegetables, chickens and other 'delicacies'. We also did some bamboo river rafting.

Hotel is set in a beautiful relaxed environment, within a fantastic location near to the village. Able to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Staff very friendly and efficient. Fabulous room. Breakfast and supper both excellent with lots of choice.

We arrived straight from an 11 hr flight and via a 3-hr winding road down into the valley. The resort is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by rice paddy fields and is extremely relaxed and focussed on eco friendliness. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and we enjoyed several massages at very cheap prices. The food is slightly weird in that it’s a set menu every meal, though they allow for food allergies/sensitivities. But after the nightly ‘show’ of young traditional dancers there is nothing else to do other than go to bed. No TV!!! We were there for 3 nights but there are only so many ‘local villages’ you can want to see and i would say that was too long for us.

As you tread carefully on the stone steps and pass through the rainwater bathing area, you return to your room, which is designed with a rustic charm reminiscent of bamboo. And just like that, you find yourself drifting into a peaceful slumber. Just one night at Ecolodge Mai Chau is enough to leave a lasting impression on your heart.

I went to this hotel just for one night and I wish I could have stayed more. It was one of the best places I have ever been. In the center of the rice fields far from the noise. Green trees everywhere surrounding your. There was also a spa and a swimming pool and after dinner a typical Vietnamese dance show. The rooms are very big with a fantastic bathroom and also a shower in your private garden. The hotel also provides you some bikes if you want to bike around the rice fields ( very recommended) If you are in Mai chau you should definitely go there

Fantastic place to stay. In the middle of rice field, large bungalows with private terrace and garden. You can relax at the pool or a ride a bike in the rice field, stopping in the little village to buy souvenirs. In the evening they propose you great dinner and typical dance.

My family stayed at Mai Chau Ecolodge in early July. This is a green resort with very good service. The staff is friendly, the rooms are very comfortable, spacious, imbued with local culture but no less luxurious. The on-site restaurant is great. The free breakfast is delicious and has many choices. Lunch and dinner are delicious, especially the family loves the roasted chicken at the restaurant. The chicken is roasted evenly golden brown, the skin is crispy, the meat is soft and not dry. Other dishes at the restaurant are also very delicious, good prices.

We were a family of 4 visiting the eco lodge. Quiet, clean, amazing building, polite and nice employees in addition to healthy & tasting kitchen. Our 2 night stay met all expectations despite lots of rain. Ee attended a bike sighseeing which we enjoyed

We spent 2 nights at Mai Chau Ecolodge while waiting to join our tour back in Hanoi . This was such a peaceful environment after spending 1 day in Hanoi .The staff is courteous and attentive. The accommodations are great i.e. room, swimming pool, restaurant, evening entertainment, nice grounds. The lodge provides return transport ( for an extra fee) from Hanoi to Mai Chau. The lodge also offers several tours in and around the surrounding villages. We went on a hike to see the rice paddies. I highly recommend Mai Chau Ecolodge.

When we first looked at some reviews, it appeared the Eco lodge was a bit far from the villages and meals had to be had at the lodge. Nothing like that. The lodge is in an elevated, perfect location, with a mountain backdrop and almost surrounded by rice paddies. Views from our room balcony/ verandah were simply amazing. The rice paddies and workers just a 100m or so away just going about there daily toil was interesting to watch, as were the massive mountains and jungle. There are at least 4 or 5 villages tucked away behind the tree line but they are only a 10 minute stroll or you can borrow the free bikes. The pool is fantastic as are the gardens and landscape. The staff are so friendly (like all of the Vietnamese we met), especially Xuan with her beautiful smile. We did have most meals at the lodge and they were delicious. We booked a car and guide to take us to Pa Co markets about 30 minutes away. Recommend this trip with a guide who led thru the market and village where we had a very special moment with a family who invited us into their very basic home. We cannot say enough good things about the Lodge. If you want peace and quiet amidst the mountains and rice fields, with the option of walks to the villages (with a bit of Karaoke) then this is the real experience, we could have stayed another week.

We visited the hotel on our trip through Vietnam. The place is beautiful and the food is delicious. We took part in a bike tour organized by the hotel and used the time to relax in the pool. In the evening there was a festival in the village. It was a wonderful stay.

Great view from our room and bikes available at all times to explore the nearby villages. Restful environment. Evenings traditional dance show was wonderful. We booked a suite that offers a private pool. We stayed 3 days and already made a reservation for a return visit in October 2024.

We loved it here - nice spacious semi detached ’thatched’ bungalow with fabulous views over the rice paddies. Only a short walk into the nearby village. Restaurant pretty good and locals dancing in the evening. You will asked to join in. Just one minor issues - the shower over the beautiful wooden bath can be quite difficult to operate and the area is quite slippery. Good place to kick back and relax after the madness of Hanoi and Halong Bay.

Thatched-roof cottages perched on a hillside overlooking the mountains and rice paddies, this is my idea of the perfect place to stay. It has stone walls and tasteful wood furnishings, an enclosed back garden, and chairs on the front porch. The food is good, the staff is pleasant, and there’s a pool to cool off in. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Usually when I see the word eco lodge I get a bit nervous. But that was not needed here. The food was delicious (breakfast, lunch and diner), good cocktails at the pool. A beautiful environment and the rooms were super clean and pretty, not an insect in sigt. Would definately recommend!

Again, a 1 night stay was too short. It's such a peaceful, lovely place. A rural area, it gave us the experience of how the Vietnames live in the countryside, far from big busy cities. From our comfortable bungalow we looked out at rice fields below, mountains beyond and small villages dotted around. It is good in such places to be able to sit still and listen to all the sounds in the distance. To be able to just relax by the pool. With only 1 night here we had dinner, watched a cultural show, slept, breakfast and off we were again. We were there 2 days before Vietnamese New Year so there was this energy of excitement in Mai Chau Village. Red Vietnamese flags were every few meters and the market was full of fresh vegetables, chickens and other 'delicacies'. We also did some bamboo river rafting.

Hotel is set in a beautiful relaxed environment, within a fantastic location near to the village. Able to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Staff very friendly and efficient. Fabulous room. Breakfast and supper both excellent with lots of choice.

We arrived straight from an 11 hr flight and via a 3-hr winding road down into the valley. The resort is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by rice paddy fields and is extremely relaxed and focussed on eco friendliness. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and we enjoyed several massages at very cheap prices. The food is slightly weird in that it’s a set menu every meal, though they allow for food allergies/sensitivities. But after the nightly ‘show’ of young traditional dancers there is nothing else to do other than go to bed. No TV!!! We were there for 3 nights but there are only so many ‘local villages’ you can want to see and i would say that was too long for us.
