Air Fried Hamburgers

Ingredients List
-
1 pound 80% lean ground beef
-
2 tablespoons melted butter
-
1 tablespoon beef base (such as Better than Bouillon®)
-
freshly ground black pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
-
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (195°C).
-
Shape the beef into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick and 4 1/2 inches in diameter. Make them slightly larger than your buns to account for shrinkage during cooking.
-
In a small bowl, mix warm melted butter with beef soup base. Lightly brush both sides of the patties with the mixture and season with pepper. Place the patties in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
-
Air-fry the patties for 7 minutes, flipping halfway for medium doneness. For well-done patties, add an extra 2 minutes of cooking time.
Cooking Tips
This recipe was tested with a 2.8-quart basket-style air fryer. Keep in mind that cooking times and results may vary depending on your air fryer’s size, brand, and the thickness of your patties. You may need to adjust the cooking time for your preferred level of doneness.
If excessive smoke occurs, try adding a little water to the bottom of the air fryer to prevent grease drips from burning.
