Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Ingredients List
-
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
-
6 (1-inch thick) boneless pork loin chops
-
1 ½ cups water
-
¼ cup margarine
-
1 (6 ounce) package pork stuffing mix
-
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling with cinnamon
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
-
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, then set them aside on a plate.
-
Bring water and margarine to a boil in a saucepan. Add the stuffing mix, cover, and remove from heat. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the water is absorbed. Fluff the stuffing with a fork once the lid is removed.
-
Spread apple pie filling evenly in the prepared baking dish. Arrange the browned pork chops over the pie filling, then spoon the stuffing over the pork chops. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
-
Bake for 35 minutes, then remove the foil. Continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until the pork is no longer pink in the center. The internal temperature should reach at least 160°F (70°C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer.
