Black Beans and Rice Dish

3 ½ cups canned black beans, drained

Instructions
Collect all necessary ingredients beforehand.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking and stirring until the onion softens, about 4 minutes.

Stir in the rice to coat it evenly; cook and stir for 2 minutes.

Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Cover, lower the heat, and simmer until the liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
