Cheddar Cheese Quiche Crust

Ingredients Needed

¾ cup all-purpose flour

6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces

¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

5 teaspoons cold water
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and cold butter. Use your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheese. Gradually add cold water, one teaspoon at a time, mixing with a fork until the dough begins to come together. Add just enough water for the dough to form a ball and pull away from the sides of the bowl. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the dough and fit it into a 9-inch pie or quiche pan. Use a fork to poke holes in the bottom of the crust.

Bake the crust for 10 minutes in the preheated oven before adding your quiche filling.
