Chicken Pizza Delight
Ingredients Needed

½ cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

½ cup all-purpose flour

1 egg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

½ cup pizza sauce, divided

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

4 slices pepperoni, or to taste - divided
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. In a separate bowl, place the flour. In a third bowl, whisk together egg and lemon juice.
Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then dredge in flour. Repeat the process by dipping again in the egg mixture and coating the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture. Arrange the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish.
Place the chicken in the preheated oven and bake until the chicken is cooked through and the breadcrumbs are golden, approximately 20 minutes.
Top each chicken breast with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, sprinkle with half the mozzarella cheese, and add half of the pepperoni slices on each.
Continue baking until the chicken is no longer pink inside and the juices run clear, about 10 more minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the thickest part of the breast reaches at least 160°F (70°C).
