Ingredients List
-
½ pound Italian sausage
-
4 (6.5 ounce) cans tomato sauce
-
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
-
2 bay leaves
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon dried basil
-
1 teaspoon dried oregano
-
salt and pepper to taste
-
1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
Cooking Instructions
-
In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat, stirring until browned. Drain excess fat.
-
Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer on medium-low for at least 1 hour for the best flavor, or cook all day for a richer taste.
-
While the sauce simmers, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes until al dente. Drain and place in a large serving bowl.
-
Pour the sauce over the cooked spaghetti and toss to coat evenly.
