Creamy Braised Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients List

¼ cup butter

1 ½ pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and quartered

¼ teaspoon sea salt, or to taste

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, or to taste
Instructions

Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Brussels sprouts and season with salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Pour in the cream, bring to a simmer, then lower the heat, cover, and cook for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and easily pierced with a fork. The cream will reduce and take on a creamy, beige hue.

Remove the cover and stir in fresh lemon juice. Let the sprouts simmer for a few more minutes until the cream thickens and coats the sprouts.

Adjust the seasoning with more salt and lemon juice to taste, then serve.
