Crispy Onion-Crusted Pork Chops

Ingredients Required
-
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
-
¼ cup all-purpose flour
-
1 cup olive oil for frying
-
2 pork chops
Cooking Instructions
-
Crush the larger onion pieces from the soup mix packet by hand before opening it, then pour it into a shallow bowl. Mix in the flour.
-
Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat until it’s hot (test by dropping a bit of the onion mix into the oil—it should sizzle).
-
Coat the pork chops in the onion soup mixture, shaking off the excess. Carefully add the chops to the hot oil. Sear each side for about 30 seconds, then cook until the pork reaches your desired level of doneness, approximately 4 minutes per side.
