Crispy Shredded Brussels Sprouts

½ pound sliced bacon

¼ cup butter

⅔ cup pine nuts

2 pounds Brussels sprouts, cored and shredded

3 green onions, minced

½ teaspoon seasoning salt

Cooking Instructions

Place the bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until it crisps up. Once done, drain the excess grease, reserving 2 tablespoons in the skillet, then crumble the bacon and set it aside.

In the same skillet, melt the butter with the reserved bacon grease over medium heat. Add the pine nuts and cook, stirring frequently, until they turn golden brown. Add the shredded Brussels sprouts and green onions to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Continue to cook until the sprouts are tender and wilted, around 10 to 15 minutes. Just before serving, stir in the crumbled bacon.
