Crockpot Green Beans with Ham and Potatoes

2 pounds fresh green beans, rinsed and trimmed

3 ham hocks

1 large onion, chopped

1 ½ pounds new potatoes, quartered

1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon seasoning salt

ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare all your ingredients.
Cut green beans in half if they are large. Place them in a slow cooker and add enough water to just cover the beans. Add the ham hocks and onion. Cover and cook on High until it starts to simmer. Then, reduce the heat to Low and cook for 2 to 3 hours, until the beans are tender but still crisp.
Remove the ham hocks from the slow cooker. Add the potatoes and cook on Low for an additional 45 minutes.
While the potatoes cook, take the meat off the ham hocks, shred or chop it, and return the meat to the slow cooker. Season with bouillon, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoning salt, and pepper.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the green beans, potatoes, and ham into a serving dish, adding a bit of the broth from the slow cooker.
