Dan's Ultimate Chicken Sandwich

Ingredients Required

2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

2 tablespoons barbeque sauce

4 slices bacon

2 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise

2 tablespoons Ranch dressing

4 slices Swiss cheese

1 small avocado - peeled, pitted and diced
Cooking Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with cooking spray. Brush both sides of each chicken breast with barbecue sauce and place them in the prepared dish. Top each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon.

Bake the chicken for 25 minutes in the preheated oven until the juices run clear. Remove the bacon and drain it on paper towels, then slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise.

Set the oven broiler to high. Spread Ranch dressing on the inside of each hoagie roll. Place 2 halves of the chicken breast on each roll, then add 2 strips of bacon to the other half of each roll. Top with a slice of Swiss cheese.

Arrange the sandwich halves on a baking sheet and broil for 2 to 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Layer the chicken with avocado slices and finish by topping with the bacon to serve.
