Elk Steak Marinade Recipe
Ingredients List
-
3 tablespoons canola oil
-
2 tablespoons minced onion
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice
-
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tablespoon soy sauce
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
-
1 ½ pounds elk steak
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, whisk together canola oil, onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until well blended.
-
Place the elk steak in a large resealable bag, pour the marinade over the meat, and seal the bag after squeezing out excess air. Let the steak marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours, turning occasionally to ensure even coating.
-
Preheat the grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grill grate.
-
Remove the steak from the marinade, discarding the marinade.
-
Grill the steaks for about 5 minutes per side, or until they firm up and the center is slightly pink. An instant-read thermometer should read 140°F (60°C) for medium-rare doneness.
