1 (1 1/2 pound) round steak, cut into serving-size pieces

1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or as needed

1 (14 ounce) bottle ketchup

1 onion, chopped

2 cups warm water
Instructions

In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Lightly press the steak into the flour mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated, and shake off any excess.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the steak on all sides for 5-7 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and drain off any excess oil. Add ketchup, onions, and water to the skillet, stirring to combine, then return the steak to the pan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the steak is tender.
