Flat Iron Steak with Lemon Basil Pesto

1 ½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice

6 (6 ounce) flat iron steaks

2 large cloves garlic, minced

salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions

In a food processor, finely chop garlic cloves. Add fresh basil and pine nuts, then pulse a few times to mix. While the processor runs, slowly pour in olive oil, pausing occasionally to scrape the sides. Mix in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.

Rub the steaks with the minced garlic and season generously with salt and pepper.

Grill the steaks to your preferred level of doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium. Occasionally baste with pesto sauce while grilling. Once cooked, serve with the remaining pesto sauce on top.
