Garlic-Infused Roasted Flat Iron Steak

Ingredients List
-
15 cloves garlic
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
½ cup olive oil
-
4 (8 ounce) flat iron steaks
-
salt and ground black pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Spread the garlic cloves on a baking sheet and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
-
Roast the garlic in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, stirring once to avoid burning. Remove from the oven and let cool.
-
Once cooled, place the garlic and 1/2 cup of olive oil in a food processor and blend until smooth, forming a paste.
-
Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Rub the garlic paste generously on both sides of each steak.
-
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the steaks until the internal temperature reaches 135°F to 140°F (60°C), about 5 minutes per side. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the steaks to rest until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), or your preferred doneness.
