Ginger Pork with a Japanese Twist

Ingredients for the Dish
-
2 tablespoons soy sauce
-
2 tablespoons sake
-
2 tablespoons mirin
-
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger root
-
1 pound thinly sliced pork loin
-
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, and freshly grated ginger. Add the thinly sliced pork and stir to coat evenly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the fridge for about 1 hour.
-
Heat some oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork and sauté until it turns golden brown and is fully cooked. Discard the marinade. Ensure the pork reaches an internal temperature of at least 145°F (63°C).
Cooking Tip
Avoid cooking the pork on low or medium heat; it will take too long for the juices to cook properly and you won't get that crispy texture you're looking for.
