Hamburger and Macaroni Casserole
Ingredients Needed
-
1 (8 ounce) package elbow macaroni
-
1 pound ground beef
-
1 ½ teaspoons dried minced onion
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
2 (10.75 ounce) cans tomato soup
-
1 (15 ounce) can corn, drained
-
1 pinch Italian seasoning, or to taste
-
1 pinch seasoned salt, or to taste
-
3 slices fat-free American cheese
Instructions
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, for about 8 minutes, until al dente; then drain.
-
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and diced onion, stirring until the beef is nearly browned and crumbled, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook until the beef is fully browned, about 2 to 3 more minutes. Drain off any excess fat.
-
Mix in the cooked macaroni, tomato soup, corn, Italian seasoning, and seasoned salt with the beef mixture. Top with slices of American cheese. Cover the skillet until the cheese melts, about 2 to 3 minutes, then stir everything together.
