Instant Pot Ground Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients List
-
1 pound ground beef
-
16 ounces chopped fresh mushrooms
-
2 onions, minced
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
4 cups water
-
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
-
1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
-
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
-
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
-
1 cup sour cream
Instructions
-
Set your Instant Pot (or similar pressure cooker) to the Saute function. Add ground beef, mushrooms, onions, and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and crumbly and the onions are softened, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add water, soup, noodles, Worcestershire sauce, and dry soup mix. Secure the lid and lock it into place.
-
Set the pressure cooker to high pressure and adjust the timer to 3 minutes, following the manufacturer’s guidelines. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build up.
-
Once the timer goes off, release the pressure using the natural release method as per the manufacturer’s instructions, which can take anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes. Once the pressure has fully released, unlock and remove the lid. Stir in the sour cream until well combined.
Cooking Tip
If you prefer, you can substitute ground turkey for the beef in this recipe.
