Irish Bacon and Fried Cabbage

1 (12 ounce) package bacon

¼ cup bacon drippings

1 small head cabbage, cored and finely chopped

Cooking Instructions

Fry bacon in a deep skillet over medium heat until it becomes crispy, around 5 to 7 minutes. Remove bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain, keeping 1/4 cup of the drippings in the skillet.

Place chopped cabbage into the hot bacon drippings, stirring occasionally, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until the cabbage starts to wilt.

Crumble the cooked bacon over the cabbage, stir, and let it simmer for another 2 to 3 minutes until the bacon warms through. Season with black pepper to taste.
